They say hot air rises, and I guess it does. An airplane flying over the capital caught fire from an outside force, joked humorist Will Rogers. Lots of hot air spewing upwards as the congress and the president can’t starve off the nations problems.
America is in a period of transition from being something as a nation to becoming nothing. Because politicians thought American exceptionalism was a creation of their own doings. God works in mysterious ways beyond human understanding. Then suddenly there it is, his way mysteriously understood, by some.
For instance, the Psalmist prophesied, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner stone. This was the LORD’ doing and it was marvelous in our eyes.” (Scriptural texts:Psalms 118:22-23). In that prophecy the chief corner stone is Jesus and the builders nation states. With Israel being tasked with the primary responsibility of building a God obeying world. But Israel couldn’t keep its own house in order, let alone the worlds house of nations. So by default, with the birth of Christ that responsibility was tasked to the house of Israel. One of those nations was the United States.
The Apostle Peter picked up on this theme. Writing, “Coming to him as a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious. You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ.”
Therefore it is also contained in the scriptures, “Behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on him will by no means be put to shame.”
Therefore, to you who believe, he is precious; but to those who are disobedient. “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” and, A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.”
“They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.” (Scriptural texts:1 Peter 2:4-8).
How is all this playing out? America once was a nation, who knew that Jesus was the chief cornerstone and precious. And America was not shamed, despite its faults. God’s mercy is forgiving and generous. And, America bore godly fruit. And Jesus promised, “And whosoever falls on this stone will be broken.” (Scriptural text:Matthew 21:44a). And, so it was through some incredible struggles.
Then along the way, Jesus, the chief cornerstone became a stumbling block to America. And America has become the children of disobedience. And this now is the American experience, “But on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder. (Scriptural text:Matthew 21:44b).
And so the nation needs to ask, why are the nations problems, so problematic for congress and the president? Because they are the children of disobedience, as the rejectors of Jesus the chief cornerstone. Who makes everything marvelous, and shameless beyond human comprehension. But now the converse is occurring, and Jesus the chief cornerstone has fallen upon them. And is grinding the nation to powder.
Don’t believe it? Watch, and see as the nation loses national and international stature. Here are two nations equal, or superior to the United States as military powers. And they have one thing in common that stands out in stark contrast to the United States. China and Russia. Both nations have criminalized homosexuality while the United States has decriminalized homosexuality and recognizes homosexuality as a human right. God Almighty calls homosexuality an abomination to humankind. God has expressed his disgust for same sex relationships by burning whole cities. In a military conflict with either China or Russia the United States would lose because of its proud stance of legitimizing homosexuality.
The Apostle Paul wrote an condemning exposition on homosexuality found in Romans 1:18;24-32.
The Persians have a history of conquering and dismantling a world power. They toppled King Nebuchadnezzar and his Babylonian empire centuries ago. Because King Nebuchadnezzar defiled himself before God. His government lost its sense of perspective that there is a God who changes the times and seasons. He removes world powers and raises up new world powers in their place. (Scriptural text:Daniel 2:21).
The United States has bigger problems to worry about than those created by either Russia or China. It should be obvious to everyone but just in case it isn’t. It’s the Arabs and the Persians. Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!” (Scriptural text Genesis 17:18). And God replied, “And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and I will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes and I will make him a great nation.” (Scriptural text:Genesis 17:20).
Ishmael as the father of Islam, by God’s authority was promised the birth of twelve, who would become princes. And in the process, Muslims would become a great nation. Today the world community has two hot spots. One of which is the Arabian Peninsula which consists of twenty two nations. Commonly referred to as the territories of Arab League. Stretching from from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Arabian Sea in the east, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the north to the Horn of Africa and the Indian Ocean in the southeast. Consisting of a land mass 1,200,000 square miles. Housing a population of approximately 422 million people with approximately 312 million people who are Muslims. It’s estimated that of those 422 million people over half are under twenty five.
Among those nations is Yemen and the world experienced what mayhem they can muster against an enemy from the Paris massacre. And hacking into a U.S. government account warning U.S. soldiers to watch their backs. Bragging that women and children are targets as well. Remember that it was Yemen who dispatched the underpants bomber on an transcontinental flight to explode over Detroit. And on another occasion put explosives in printer ink cartridges headed for the United States. All of that is more than enough to keep the United States preoccupied. Trying to keep that conclave of evil from striking world targets, especially U.S. targets.
The second hot spot is the Persians, or modern day Iran, who might be the power that God will raise up to dethrone the United States. Many marvel that the United States isn’t mentioned in the book of truth, our Bible. But America is referenced, but not specifically, for reasons known only to God Almighty. Her listing among the nations of the world is rather obscure but there. In Genesis the United States birth is announced through the great great great grandson of Abraham, Manasseh. (Scriptural texts:Genesis 48:8-20). Note verses 16; in particular, verse 19, “… I know. He also shall become a people, and he (Manasseh) also shall be great (United States); but truly his younger brother (Ephraim) shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” Great Britain and her Common Wealth of Nations.
Then another man of visions said, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.” (Scriptural texts:Daniel 7:2-4).
We know that the lion is the national animal of England. Daniel tells us that in his vision he saw that lion had eagles wings. They were plucked off. Picturesque of the Pilgrims fleeing England for religious freedom. We also know that bald eagle is the national symbol of the United States. Ending up on the shores of what would become the United States. Daniel tells us that this eagle was made to stand on two feet like a man with a man’s heart. Picturesque of the benevolence of the United States hash tagged Uncle Sam.
The United States use to believe that Jesus was precious to the nation. But as time progressed, the people lost that awareness, and have become disobedient. Most of the nations people have have sided with their government to reject the stone, Jesus, whom their forefathers trusted to build a nation. Most of the nation now sees Jesus as a stumbling block and an offensive rock. And, Jesus, the chief cornerstone. And the nation, for the most part is unaware that Jesus that stone, is the chief corner stone. That held America together becoming the envy of the world. Through her exceptional prosperity and unequaled military might. Is now experiencing the falling power of that stone as Jesus grinds the nation to powder.
The second hot spot that the United States really needs to be concerned about are the Persians or modern day Iran. A nation that has not retracted its ambitions. Most are aware that Iran is the process of building a nuclear bomb. And most are aware that the community of nations led by the United States is negotiating with Iran. In an attempt to deter Iran from joining the nuclear club of nations with such weapons. Why? Perhaps because that cornerstone, Jesus, that America now sees as a stumbling block and an offense is stirring an inner awareness. That Jesus, the living word spoken by Daniel, is in the process of grinding to nothing one empire and raising up another in its place.
That empire could well be Iran! There are other places in our scriptures where the United States is referenced. The United States is referred to as the daughter of Babylon. And if the power, that destroys the United States is Iran. It’ll be done in a moment of time with a nuclear bomb. A fitting death for the United States because it is God’s law that they who live by the sword shall die by the sword. (Scriptural text:Matthew 26:52).
If not Iran, than it could be some other nuclear power. For the skeptics and naysayers ponder this. For in ONE HOUR such great riches came to nothing … and as many as trade by the sea stood at a distance and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, “What is like this great city?” … weeping and wailing, and saying, “Alas, alas, the great city, in which all who had ships became rich by her wealth! For in one hour she is made desolate.” (Scriptural texts:Revelation 18:16-19)
Here are a few reasons why this discussion names the United States as power to be destroyed. Most think the scriptures used refer to ancient Babylon under King Nebuchadnezzar. Not so, because being with Revelation chapter four reveals histories yet to come. Secondly Old Testament prophets talked about the daughter of Babylon. Isaiah recorded the following, Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a thrown, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall no more be called tender tender and delicate. … I will take vengeance, And I will not arbitrate with a man.” (Scriptural texts:Isaiah 47:1-3).
The supremacy of the United States is under severe challenge. Here are words of warning for the daughter of Babylon. They shall hold the bow and the lance; they are cruel and shall not show mercy. Their voice shall roar like the sea; they shall ride on horses, set in array, like a man for the battle, against you, O daughter of Babylon. (Scriptural text:Jeremiah 50:42). And from the Psalmist, “O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed.” (Scriptural text:Psalms 137:8).
Recall that it was the merchants of the oceans who were made rich by her wealth who wept. When seeing her burn, and asked, “What is like this great city?” That statement and question is the most compelling argument that the burning Babylon of Revelation 18:16-19, is the United States and not ancient Babylon under King Nebuchadnezzar. Ancient Babylon lacked sea ports, while the United States has an abundance of sea ports to accommodate merchants of the oceans from all over the world. Few if, any nations in the history of ocean commerce have equal or more accommodating sea ports the Daughter of Babylon.
