Humanity has a way of getting on the angry side of God, according to ancient historians. At one point it was reported that the Creator had decided to completely annihilate humans from being a living species.
Why? Because the human species is consumed from the depth of their beings to reproduce nothing but evil, continually! Mostly, because it was a portrayal of His original intentions.
Centuries later reaching us today. Current historians report that people get what they deserve. Live honorably, and be honored, with the converse being applicable.
That has been the history of God’s relationship with humanity since the days of Adam and Eve.
Just when the ax of destruction is about to fall. Like out of nowhere God takes a liking to a particular person.
The first such person was a guy named Noah. And Moses, the historian of that time, tells us that Noah was person like God Himself, honorable!
And so God spared Noah, and his family, while causing a global flood to kill everything upon the earth.
And for us today, that universal edict should be recognized and feared. So God said, “I will destroy all people, whom I have created from the face of the earth. Both humans, beasts, and creeping things, and birds of the air. For I am sorry, that I have made them!” (cp. Genesis 6:3-7; most interesting verse 4, “There giants on the earth in those days, and afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and bore children to them. Those were the mighty men, who were of old, men of renown!”
So we all need to know our Bibles, and live by its God’s declared, and inspired edicts. And maybe like Noah, we’ll experiences Gods grace.
Moses our historian for that era put it this way. “This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generation. Noah walked with God. And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth.”
A better tomorrow starts with a better today. This universal law rules humanity to this day. “The end of humanity is before Me. Because, the earth is filled with violence by them. I will destroy them and the earth.”
However, century after century God has found a Noah. Noah could be in the personage of an individual, or a nation, like Israel, Great Britain or the United States.
Most are aware that we need a Noah. Because if COVID-19, or one of its ever emerging variants doesn’t get us climate change will.
But the reality of it all, is that each of us must become a Noah. Then God again, will demonstrate His true nature which is one of mercy. Allowing humanity another opportunity to get it right, time after time through out history.
