cycle of life pt 9

A friend in need is a friend indeed, so one of Job’s friends offers helping hand. So Eliphas chimes in. Saying, “If one attempts a word with you, will become weary? But who can withhold himself from speaking? Surely you have instructed many, and you have strengthened weak hands. Your words have upheld those who were stumbling. You have strengthened feeble knees.

But now tragedy comes upon you, and you are weary; it touches you, and you are troubled.

Is not your your reverence for God Almighty your confidence? And the integrity of your faith your hope?Remember Job, who ever perished being innocent, or people of faith cut off?

Even as I have seen, those who plow iniquity, and sow trouble reap the same. By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of His anger they are consumed.

Nature Job should be your witness. The roaring of the Lion, the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions are broken. The old lion perishes for lack of prey, and the cubs of the lioness scattered.

Job is mute, and offers no response to his friends efforts to console him. For those who have been following these discussions, it is known that Job had every reason to be in a state of no hope. After all, Job lost his business empire, his employees where killed and his daughters and sons lost their lives as a result of horrendous storm.

But we also learned that Job had found favor with God because of his spiritual integrity. Satan challenged God saying it’s all because You protect him. So God said to Satan test Him. And Satan did, to know avail. Nevertheless his ordeals destroyed him emotionally to the point that he regretted his birth. Thus his friend attempts to console him.

Discussion was developed from an analytical interpretation of Job 4:1-11.

Job wasn’t the first person, nor the last to experience satanic tragedies which included this writer.

God is long suffering, and merciful toward people of faith.

This was applicable to Job, me, and many others, and will continue to reach into the future, until this age ends. “The steps of good people are ordered by the LORD. And He delights in their ways. Though they should fall, they will not be utterly destroyed. For the LORD will upholds them with His hands.” (cp. Psalms 37:23-24).

The Psalmist continues, “I have been young and now am old. Yet I have never see the righteous forsaken. nor his descendants begging for bread. He is ever merciful, and his descendants are blessed. (cp. Psalms 37:25-26). Amen!

it is a matter of attitude

“Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learned that whatever state I may be in, therein to be content,” Blind and Deaf Helen Keller.

“Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive tree may fail, and fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” (cp. Habakkuk 3:17-18).

“The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.” (cp. Habakkuk 3:19).

The Apostle Paul, “Not that I speak in regard to need. For I have learned that whatever state I find myself, I am to be content.” (cp. Philippians 4:11).

“Thrust in the LORD, and to good. Dwell in the land and feed off of His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” (cp. Psalms 37:3-5).

Psalms 37: 3-5, should be seen in the light of some personal struggle, as iterated in verses 6-10.

All of the aforementioned reference various states of troubling anxiety. The lesson to be learned is that it’s a spiritual process which results in contentment. And, it may not be instantaneous.

Jesus put it this way, “Blessed are those, who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. (cp. Matthew 5:6).

But it only applies to people, who have experienced His righteousness. Scoffers, and Christ deniers will always suffer from various anxieties which are a leading cause of suicides. Satisfying contentment can only be found through the Christ redemptive process.

in america something worth fighting for

Nature calls with her waning particularities in like manner. Because everything in nature has a beginning and ending, for our species, our waxing occurred by divine decree. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (cp. Genesis 2:7).

Fight for the celebration of life. Because, as America goes, so goes the world.

It’s what’s in between that we must make the most of. Because it’s divinely recorded, As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, to be flourished. For the wind passes over it; and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. (cp. Psalms 103:15-16).

The in between starts with this memorial commemoration of our slain Savior that death could not contain Him. Recorded for us in Zechariah are these humbling words. That should incite Christendom to war against those who disrespect our Christ with their Easter like shenanigans. “Then they shall look upon Me, whom they have pierced. Yes, they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him, as one grieves for a first born.” (cp. Zechariah 12:10b).

And that’s what every Holy Week should be about. Our liberator, who entered Jerusalem on the back of an ass. And paid for our sins on the cross. He would have it no other way. Divinely said this way, “For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all. But, the life He lives, He lives to God. (cp. Romans 6:10).

And with His single sacrificial act, we as a species, are very distinct from all others because we were created in His image. (Scriptural text: Genesis 1:27). And now, therefore, we are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and the household of God. (Scriptural text: Ephesians 2:19). That is the desired results from our celebration of Resurrection Sunday

With a new evolutionary cycle is in place lets march to this beat in preparation for Holy Week 2022. Making this happen for those outside the family of God. For we are all the sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you are baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, there is neither slave or free, there is neither male or female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then, you are of Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Scriptural texts: Galatians 3:26-29).

In America that’s something worth fighting for. Because, as America goes, so goes the world.

gifts from the heart pt-1

Compared to the last couple of days, Thursday was quite and peaceful for Jesus. But not so for his enemies, as they were plotting, as to how to silence Him.

Jesus spent Thursday with his friends including the twelve disciples. Where once again Jesus had some unique things to say. They are found eating dinner, when Mary arrived.

Needing no special invitation because of her relationship with Jesus. Most come to Jesus in need of something, but not Mary. She went right up to Jesus, and with a very expensive substance she blessed Jesus with that ointment.

Her purpose was an act of respect and worship. That ointment was a very expensive herb. Mary kept it in an alabaster box, according to Matthew 26:7. She applied the substance to the feet of Jesus. Then using her hair to wipe His feet. John chapter twelve verses 2-3 records that dinner table occurrence.

Judas Iscariot was present there as one of the twelve, see John chapter twelve verse four. He was outraged that such an expensive substance was used on the feet of Jesus. He demanded to know, why the substance was not sold for a handsome profit because of its beauty and sweet aroma. With the money being used to help the poor.

The poor from a contextual perspective should not be taken to mean poor like penniless. But rather Jesus’ commitment to make sure that ordinary people like most of us were not squeezed out or eliminated from the bounties of our labor. Through the greed, power and influence of the wealthy.

It’s not that Judas cared about the poor. He knew from the teachings of Jesus, and from his personal observations, the personal commitment Jesus had for ordinary working people. Suspecting that his remarks would please Jesus.

Instead Jesus rebukes Judas telling him to leave Mary alone. Telling Judas that what Mary did was a symbolic act done to commemorate His death and burial. Suggesting the special relationship between the two. Mary may have known the fate of Jesus from Jesus himself. Something the twelve disciples themselves were not aware of until later.

Jesus accepted Mary’s adoration of service. Telling all the guest, and us, as well. With Jesus saying, “Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world. What this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” See Matthew 26:13. Because she gave to Jesus, and did not ask of Him. A rare occurrence during the life of Christ, then, and now!

Jesus elaborated more telling Judas and the others that the poor they would always have among them to liberate. Saying, “You will not always have Me with you on this physical plane,” John 12:8. Meaning that once murdered, buried, resurrected and ascended, a new relationship between God, and humanity would be ushered into the world.

During this period God’s presences and influences would be very different. His presences would be revealed and experienced through our Bible. Without our Bible, we Christians would be hard pressed to determine truth from non-truths. As it is, its difficult to separate truth from non-truths because so many Bible expositors differ as to what is truth.

Solution! Study your Bible carefully because it’s a complex book. If you can’t match a clergy exposition with your Bible. Then it’s probably not Biblical truth.

It’s highly suggested that people study the books Paul wrote which includes the book of Acts through to Hebrews. This Padre argues that Paul wrote the book of Acts and not Luke. Luke was a Jew, and wrote to his people who were obligated to honor and observe the Mosaic law.

Paul’s authorship is recorded in 2 Peter 3:15-16. Where we find these words. “And consider that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation, as experienced by our beloved brother Paul. According to the wisdom given to him, he has written to you, verse 15.

Give careful consideration to verse 16. “In all his epistles speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand. Which untaught, and unlearned people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the scriptures.”

Be a spoiler like the Galilean

Stretching across eons of time and begging today for recognition. Arrives these heralded words. “Tell the daughter of Zion! Behold your King is coming to you, humble, and riding on a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey.” (cp Matthew 21:5).

Whose destination would be the triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Resulting in freedom from the misery of oppressive bondage, and exploitation from social intercourse between people and their nation states. The building of a new world for the glory of God with all of its peripheries of institutions.

But before that could occur, the God man, would have to come to be activated within everyone. The very presence of God would dwell in His creation.

For that to occur, people would have to respond to His sacrifice of Himself for the remission of sin. Offered to Jew, and Gentile alike, which was the finale of a 33 year journey. Which started, with His historical ride upon a humble animal into Jerusalem.

Secondary, but important to His sole purpose was deliverance from social and economic injustices. Which need no elaboration because people are being crippled from those injustices.

Then this is the eternal sacred message that should be heralded today. With people today following the scriptural example of the multitudes, who preceded Jesus into Jerusalem. The people cried out saying, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest.” (cp.Matthew 21:9).

With Hosanna meaning, liberate us. Have you noticed that there is a spirit of rebellion sweeping across the nation. People are expressing their tiredness with the ‘tired and failed.’ Whether it’s politics, pandemic, commerce or the way ones neighbors behave.

Here is something a little personal. I’m older than most. So I go back to a time, when my father made business contracts through handshakes. Here is what governed his contracts. “You shall not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of a hired person, shall not remain with you all night until morning.” (cp. Leviticus 19:13).

Because it was a matter of character, and personal integrity. Character, and integrity worked both ways. The consumer paid up front, knowing that the contractor prided his workmanship making it beneath him to do anything less than what was honorable.

Society needs to hear that two fold proclamation of Hosanna. Changed lives through Jesus and liberation from our oppressors. Because through Christ comes character. and thus integrity. Making it impossible to do anything that is beneath what is honorable.

There are many voices through out America today. Who want Christians to be shackled to the chains of governance which contrary to our scriptures.

Therefore, we the living personage of the God force, need to rebel. Breaking those burdensome chains that are anti-Christian. No matter what part of the American community they represent.

We are about to enter the holiest week of the Christian calendar. It’s about the transition of the Mosaic law into the age of grace. Grace is all about humanities redemption and social responsibility. Who will in this 21st century return America to the place where she came from. A Christ centered nation, as seen from the perspective of Matthew 5:15. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill which cannot be hidden.”

So for you spoilers out there like the Galilean get together with the like minded, and see what spoiling can be done for Jesus and country.

We are the awesome creation of our Creator. Capable of doing the unimaginable because God is greater than His creation.

Souldier up and and get going! Because, “If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them. You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight.” (cp. Leviticus 26:3,7-8)

Three examples: No politics as usual! Combat peacefully the agenda of the LGBTQ community. Understand Islam for it really represents which is global obedience to Allah and his prophet Muhammad. All three are enemies of Christianity and thus the enemies of America. The daughter of Zion is America!

Mahatma Gandhi

“When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it. Always!” Mahatma Gandhi.

Issue can be taken that truth and love always win. Indeed the world has been plagued with all kinds of tyrants to a greater or lesser degree. True they come and go and give the illusion that truth and love always win. But, evil always finds a way to reinvent itself.

There are forces unseen that are the despots of history. This discussion will focus on  the unseen forces. Because they are the greatest threat to peace and tranquility visible and invisible.

So let the journey begin, “Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Jesus were all things created that are in heaven and that are on the earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones=governments or dominions=conglomerate authority or principalities=expanded jurisdiction or powers.

Think of the United States as the force within and behind the free world. And the Soviet Union likewise over the Soviet block of nations. And the struggle to break up or strengthen  NATO. Because what happens to NATO influences Europe. And thus world peace. All things were created through Him and for Him.”

And to heighten the disturbance global tranquility, the Beast of the East, China. And to enter the fray the armies of Muhammad. And in the end, Israel will emerge as the worlds most esteemed nation. All tucked away in one Biblical citing with some exegesis. (cp. Colossians 1:16).

Know your Bible. Know your world. What’s visible and invisible. It’s the invisible that’s the mystery. Because most mortals have trouble accepting, what they can’t see. And who’s at fault? Christendom mostly because they are more into empire building and money making than truth telling.

They are the ones, who see the disgraced Trump, as the solution for national and international tranquility. Pure evil that Trump is, makes it possible to be the invisible of evil. So be alarmed, and watch out in fear for what is to come.

Tomorrow how did it happen and why.

a dose of what the world needs.

The adverse complexities of life and how to deal with them. “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, harshness and evil speaking be put away from you, with all attempts to get even, ” Instead, ‘Be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God through Christ can forgive you.'” (cp. Ephesians 4:31-32).

Christ exemplified the Apostle Paul’s admonishments according to the Apostle Peter, who declared, It’s the Christ way because Christ bore such hurtful rhetoric and by so doing exemplified how we should react.

Saying, He who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth. Who when He was mocked, did not mock in return, when He suffered, He did not threaten.

But committed Himself, to Him who judges righteously. And Himself, bore our sins in His own body on the tree. That we through Him should live above the attitudinal shenanigans all around us. For it’s by His sufferings we can be healed. We don’t have to behave like that, if He is the Shepherd  and Overseer of our souls. (cp, 1 Peter 2:21-25 with exegesis).

being more than u thought u could b

“I beseech Christ for this thing only, that He will enable me to endure all things courageously, and that He shape me as a potter’s vessel or make me strong,” Huldrych Zwingli.

Some might ask, what is Zwingli talking about? And what about being more than u thought u could b, mean?

It almost sounds like a coded language and for most it is. But not for us, who have experienced the newness of life that only Christ can provide.

Think in these terms, for instance, suppose someone decides to open up a practice of some sort. And, goes through all the expense necessary to operate such an establishment. And then announces, I’m ready, to provide whatever the enterprise might be. Suddenly realizing, I don’t have the slightest clue as to how to do in reality what was imagined.

One does not travel the Christ way, as expressed by Zwingli all of a sudden. It’s a slow spiritual growth, whereby, ones soul and spirit are brought to life by the inner workings of the God’s Spirit.

Consider the following, “Likewise the Spirit helps with our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for, as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with expressions that cannot be understood. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (cp. Romans 8:26-27).

Few are aware that all that is going on within us in one form or another. Call to repentance through Romans 10:9-10. Or the call to service as expressed by Zwingli.

Maturity in Christ brings about this reality. “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of glory may give you the Spirit of WISDOM and REVELATION in the knowledge of Him. That the eyes of your understanding being ENLIGHTENED; that you might know what is the HOPE of your calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (The God plan has a predetermined agenda). (With this purpose for us). Discovering, what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.” (cp. Ephesians 1:17-18).

For us it’s a tutorial, as declared, “Which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him form the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places.” (cp. Ephesians 1:19-20).

Far above all principality, and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which to come. (cp. Ephesians 1:21). Meaning the age after the church age ends and often referred to as the age of grace. And that same power resides in us, as we mature in His calling. Have a problem or issue? In simple slang, bush wack it spiritually, and always non-violently, no matter who or what it is.

Because “He has put all endeavors under His control, and made Him the head of the church. And we are His body, the very fullness of Him, who fills all in all.” (cp. Ephesians 1:22-23, with exegesis through out).

self-angels and a redeemer

“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us,” J.J.R, Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring.

Indeed: “Since their days are determined. The number of their years are with you. You have appointed their limits, so that they can not pass them.” (cp. Job 14:5).

“So teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (cp. Psalms 90:12).

And, with some help. “He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up with their hands. Lest you dash your feet against a stone.” (cp. Psalms 91:11-12).

And, all will be better in some unknown future time. “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know. That in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” Job 19:25-27.

loves satisfaction

“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness. Kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, ” Mother Teresa.

Works best this way. “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God. Who loved me and gave himself for me.” (cp. Galatians 2:20).

And, Christ in us expresses Himself as follows. “We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (cp. Ephesians 2:10).

With this resolution. “Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ. And through us, diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance among those who are saved, and among those who are perishing.” (cp. 2 Corinthians 2:14-15).

the obvious blinds most

“Education never ends, Watson. It is a series of education with the greatest for the last,” Sherlock Holmes.

Time is full of educational values that suggest human survival on planet earth can not last forever. Nevertheless most ignore the obvious, and cling to chance that at death all ends. Mistake! Death is a transition from one state of existence to another.

Divine Providence provided the following for our sake. So that we mortals might know that death is the gateway to life ever lasting. Unfortunately His vehicle, the church, to help us understand the ramifications of that transition has failed humanity. Because Christendom, has religiously political sized itself into agents of nothingness. And, that is the greatest tragedy of history!

But there are exceptions, and Church for Sanctuary through its Padre is one of those exceptions. Some say that the proof is in the pudding. Meaning the reality is in the experience. So the pudding is only realized through sincerity, and not as an experimental quest.

Perhaps a little strange because we’re going to start from the end and travel to the beginning. The following is not the language devised by a mortal like me. It’s the language of Divine Providence given to the Apostle Paul to share with we mortals during the age of grace, our time in history. “If anyone is in Christ, they have become a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new!” (cp. 2 Corinthians 5:17).

The above is the aftermath of this experience. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raise Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10). Here’s is the promise. “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame, for whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (cp. Romans 10:11;13).

Everyone’s circumstances are different. When this Padre experienced the newness of life through Christ. He was in the midst of some very unusual conditions and circumstances. With no church experience to help him to understand his Christ experience. He just knew that the next morning he was a very different person. Eventually he secured a Bible. And a Biblical search began, hoping to discover why he was so different. Finally, he came across, 2 Corinthians 5:17).

Want that experience? Follow the prompts in Romans 10:9-10. Claim the promises in Romans 10:11:13). And, 2 Corinthians 5:17, is yours!

It may, or may not, be an emotional experience. It wasn’t for this Padre. Just an awareness that a new personage had been been born.

John pretty much captured this Christ child’s experience. “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but can not tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone, who is born of the Spirit.” (cp. John 3:8).

This Padre has been within that Spirit experience for 50+ years. Truthfully, this Padre never tires of Biblical studies. Consider the following, “For by Him were all things created that are in heaven, and on the earth, visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” (Cp. Colossians 1:16). Multiple journeys to be studied, and thus realized, making scriptural studies a profound source of understanding.

such a small thing huge problem

The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of a world that it leaves to its children. Dietrich Bonhoeffer, 1906-1952.

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a fire of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets in fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire by hell! For every kind of beast and bird, reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue, it is an unholy evil full of deadly poison.

With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth proceeds blessings and cursing. Such things ought not to be so!

Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.

Who is wise with understanding among you? Let them show by good conduct that their works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual and demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exists, confusion and every evil thing are there.

But wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy, and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the peace of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. (cp. James 3:5-18).

And, that’s how a moral society is created for its children.

dump trump

As most surely must know two articles of impeachment are being prepared against the donald. With the sole purpose of removing the donald from the peoples house.

Where he doesn’t belong because he didn’t win the popular vote. Skirting the will of the people because the founding fathers didn’t think the people were smart enough make the right choice. So they, created the Electoral College. Which allowed the state legislators through appointed delegates to determine the presidential winner, irrespective of the peoples popular choice. The donald lost the popular vote by around three million votes.

Irrespective of what one thinks about presidential winners, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton. Both candidates won the popular vote. But were denied the presidency because of the Electoral College. Thus denying, the people of their preferred presidential candidates. That has occurred twice in the last twenty years.

Fifteen states, and the District of Columbia have joined a movement to bypass the Electoral College, and join the National Institute Compact, in which member states pledge to give all their Electoral College to the winner of the popular vote.

Florida isn’t one of those states. Therefore, this writer is available to discuss, why having Florida join the National Institute Compact would be in their best interest.

the harp and golden bowls

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp and golden bowls full of incense which are the prayers of the saints.

The most effective way to interpret unexplained symbols is match those symbols with other scriptural references. Because the scriptures are pretty good at explaining themselves. In Revelation 5:8, it’s said that each of four living creatures and twenty four elders each had a harp and a golden bowl filled with incense.

Turning to the Psalms this is recorded. “Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. Praise the LORD with the harp. Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. Sing a new song to Him; play skillfully with a shout of joy.” See Psalms 33:1-3.

The golden bowls filled with incense representing the prayers of the saints is a direct allusion to another Psalm. Which reads, “Let my prayer be set before You as incense.” See Psalms 141:2a.

The obvious conclusion is that those symbols represent praise and worship through song and action.

And embodied, in such prayers that we might offer could include these thoughts. “Set guard over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips. Do not incline my heart to any evil thing. To practice wicked works with men who work iniquity; and do not let me eat of their delicacies.” See Psalms 141:3-4.

aging what its like

Aging spells times of trouble. Everyone sooner or later is going to have to dip deep into the banks of ones health insurance. The 2020 election cycle is tantamount, as to, when your silver cord will be loosed. So vote for a collection of candidates that will make medicare available to all! That will be ones path to enjoying ones golden years.

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come, and the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them.” While the sun and the light, the moon and the stars are not darkened, and the clouds do not return after the rain; in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men bow down; when the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look through the windows grow dim; when the doors are shut in the streets, and the sound of grinding is low; when one rises up at the sound of a bird, and all the daughters of music are brought low. Also they are afraid of height, and of terrors in the way, when the almond tree blooms, the grasshopper is a burden, and desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home, and the mourners go about the streets.

Remember your Creator before the silver cord is loosed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher shattered at the fountain, or the wheel at the well. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was. And the spirit will return to God who gave it. See Ecclesiastes 12:1-7.

doomed

All the animals were making merry one summers day over the Sun’s wedding, and among the rest, the frogs were rejoicing. But one of their number said: You fools, why all this jubilation? One sun is enough to dry up all the muddy pools. If he marries a wife and begets a child like himself, we shall be a in a bad way.

A lot of empty headed people rejoice over the wrong things. (source:Penguin Classics-Fables of Aesop-“One Is Enough”)

In both the land of fables and the here and now. The same message is apparent because Jesus said, “Therefore I speak in fables, oops parables. Because though seeing, they see not; and hearing, they hear not,” Matthew 13:13.

No doubt the world could use some wise frogs to declare that their jubilation could very well be their doom.
