I am hungry

It has been said, “As America goes, so goes the world.” You’ll know that the world is in big trouble, when it is said, “As china goes, so goes the world.” That day is fast approaching.

Hunger an increasing phenomena in America, why?

It’s a forerunner of a time declared to be a time like no other. No not since the beginning of the world, which will never again to be duplicated, Matthew 24:7;21.

So for now, a short discussion on hunger, its causes, but not absent a solution.

Each year more working Americans are declared, “food insecure,” meaning they do not know where they will find their next meal.

According to the nations largest food bank, America’s Second Harvest. Second Harvest asserts that food insecurity is experienced by 70% of their clients. Thirty three percent of those people are completely without a food source.

America’s Second Harvest is headquartered in Chicago Illinois. They also have offices in the nations capital.

They serve as a food distribution for the nations soup kitchen’s, food banks, and shelters for the homeless.

They assist thousands of such organizations across the country. They have provided assistance for a shocking, at least, twenty five million people in any one calendar year.

One might wonder, just who do they represent? Perhaps concluding that these people are suffering some form substance abuse, or some other self inflicted behavioral abnormality.

Resulting in a collection of people, who could care for themselves, if they modified their destructive lifestyles.

The kind of people that makes it easy for the more fortunate of society to ignore. Shrugging off the hardships of the hungry, as people who are getting what they deserve.

Good, and decent people are all around us, who are barely making it from one meal to the next.

Discussing hunger, I talked with a woman, who had attempted to organize a more active Parent Teachers Association at her child’s school. She said, that she could not organize a more active P.T.A. Because she said, “they had to work two or more jobs so that the family can have food!”

People with a Christian consciousness need to step up and fill a serious void. We are instructed to practice a religion that is not defiled which means to serve people without respect to their afflictions, James 1:27.

It is one way to separate ones self from a score of behaviors not favored by Christ. It’s what James meant when he wrote be “unstained by the world!

The above mentioned people may well be our neighbors. They work at jobs that do not pay them enough money to make ends meet. So, they sacrifice food.

That’s why we need a unionized work force. Such workers are less likely to be food insure.

Republicans through out government are the primary culprits for food insecurity. Because they favor conglomerate profits over living wages.

America’s Second Harvests reports they also serve senior citizens. Again people who have worked all there lives. But find themselves, without sufficient money for food.

Most unfortunately, included among the hungry are the nations children. No child, for whatsoever should go hungry!

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports that millions of American households have difficulty providing enough food for their families. With the agency reporting that the number keeps growing exponentially annually.

Why is hunger such a problem in America?

Two reasons exist for such a possibility, one is found in 2 Chronicles 36:16 which reads, “They mocked the messengers of God, and ignored valuable instructions coming from God. Until the LORD’s wrath rose against the people, until there was no remedy.”

Hosea declares, “They will not *frame* their ways to turn to their God; for the spirit of harlotry (unacceptable behaviors) is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.”

The only hope for a troubled America which has stirred up the wrath of God. Because as a people and a nation, America has refused to *frame* all behaviors according to the doings of the LORD!

Two examples killing babies, Exodus 20:13, and gay marriages, Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5 and Ephesians 5:31.

Hope is for God to declare that He has found a Noah, and in today’s world many Noah’s. People who have found grace in His eyes. Just people perfect in their generation because they have walked with their God, Genesis 6:8-9.

A necessary occurrence because God told Noah, and no doubt equally applicable today. “The end of humanity is before Me, I will destroy them from the earth,” Genesis 6:13, then, and for today, Matthew 24:7, 21.

And if our fate is as fortunate, as was Noah’s generation. God who values righteousness, will spare us. And as He told Noah, He will tell us, be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth, Genesis 9:1.

And as we know from a previous discussion (Supernatural Art of Mind Shifting, 04 November 2021), that the settled can be altered by His grace because righteousness has come before Him.

So let it be in our time, let us pray.
