Job having suffered multiple sorrows decides to frame human existence. Though his framing is about his own life, nevertheless, everyone should be able to see some correlation from his perspective of life and their’s. Because what’s contained in the book of Job, is meant to be a picturesque showing to us that life has sunny and rainy days.
To help us to navigate life that we might overcome the rainy days, with more sunny days is, 2 Timothy. 3:16-7, All scripture is given by inspiration of God, (meaning God breathed, with His directed breath in, and through all those, who penned the scriptures) making them of value for learning, scolding, correction, and for instruction in righteousness. So that everyone may be able to cope with what life offers through what appears to be overwhelming challenges).
So Job starts by saying, life is a time of hard work on this earth, just like those he employed. All of us want some shade from the toils of life. Like the hired hand who eagerly looks forward to pay day, so I waited to turn a profit from my investments.
Job complains that he has been tasked with months of futility, combined with sleepless nights. Wanting the nights to end, as he had had enough of tossing and turning till dawn arrives.
Reflecting upon his cancerous like sores that covered his body. Complaining that his days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are now spent without hope.
With life passing by swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, with days being spent without pleasure! Oh, I now know that life is nothing but a fleeing breath! Job concludes, “I will never experience the good life again.”
And now Job turns to God saying, “With Your eyes, You see me, but You will see me no more. When You look again, I shall no longer be. Because as the cloud disappears and vanishes away, so am I who goes down to the grave and does not come up. I shall never return to my house, nor shall his place know me anymore.
Everything is moving at supersonic speed, so Job decides that its time to speak his mind without restraint. Allowing the very bitterness of his soul (consciousness) to manifest itself. Which represents the anguish of his spirit (our God awareness).
Challenging God in a sarcastic manner, “Am I a sea serpent, that You set a guard over me?” When I say, ‘My bed will comfort me, my couch will ease my complaints, then You scare me with dreams, and You terrify me with nightmares.'”
Saying, “My soul chooses strangulation causing death, as opposed to remaining in my body. I loathe my life, leave me alone! For what am I that You should visit me, or that You should show any interest in me? Should you visit me in the morning it is only to test me all day long. How long will it take before you look away from me? Just leave me alone!”
Job wonders, “Have I sinned? What have I done to You, O watcher over humanity? Why have You set me as your target, so that I have become a burden even to myself?”
“Why do you not pardon my transgressions, or take away my iniquities? For now I will lie down in the dust, and You will seek me diligently, but I will no longer be.”
This discussion was developed through an analytical interpretation of Job 7:1-21.
Life puts before us challenges, some of them overwhelming allowing us to identify with Job.
Rebounding can be difficult, if you are not one with us through Christ Jesus. Make no mistake because it can be difficult even though you are a part of His family. It’s just a lot more comforting not to have to go it alone. Even though you might have family, and friends, for support and recovery. Jesus declared Himself to be the way, the truth and the life.
So, if you are not one of us and want to join our Christ family. Follow the prompts found in Romans 10:9-10. Then notice verses 11-13, all of which create the universality that so many seek. And if our paths do not cross in this world, they will in the next.
