A menace provocateur of greatness, for it’s recorded, “Be aware, and vigilant because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may destroy. (cp. 1 Peter 5:8).
And, there is no reason to think that any human being has not been his target!
So lets take a journey into the ancient past and take a look at one of Satan’s targets. Let no one think, well that’s ancient stuff, and has no applicability in a modern society. Wrong, because this writer has been subjected to his viciousness.
That’s what has prompted this discussion. His intellect and physical power is well not understood. And there will be scoffers and mockers, who will think that such nonsense is a laughing matter. And, that will be to their shame. Because a time will come, when they will talk a very different talk.
Paul writing to Timothy and you and me, “I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and within His kingdom.” (cp. 2 Timothy 4:1).
There was a man whose name was Job, and that man was blameless and righteous, who feared God and avoided evil.
He had seven sons and three daughters. And Job was extremely wealthy.
There was a day when God’s sons came to present themselves before the LORD. And Satan, came also came among them to present himself before the LORD.
And the LORD asked Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan replied, “From going back and forth in the earth, and walking up and down in it.”
Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My friend Job? There is no one like him in the earth, a blameless, and an upright man. One who fears God and turns away from evil.”
So, Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have you not made a hedge around his house, and all that he has on every side? You have prospered the works of his hands, and his wealth has increased. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold all that he has is within your power!” Do not lay a hand on his person!” So Satan went out from the presences of God.
The aforementioned has developed from Job 1:1-12, unless other scriptures have been cited.
Consider the following because there is no reason to doubt, that Satan has had like conversation with God, concerning all of us.
All of that should give new meaning to the following scripture. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the people of God may be completely, and thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (cp. 2 Timothy 3:16).
Hopefully readers now know that Satan is more than some make believe creature that haunts the world during the days of the Halloween season. Knowing now that Satan engages in conversations with our Creator to destroy us. And that God curtails his destructive powers, but nevertheless, Satan can make ones live miserable. And that the remedy for believers is found through 2 Timothy 3:16.
Not one of us who believe? Join our Christ family by following the prompts found in Romans 10:9-10, and then notice verses 11-13. All of which creates the universality that so many seek. And if our paths don’t cross in this world, they will in the next.
