the satisfied life

“Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry, expect little give much, scatter sunshine, forget self, think of others. Try this for a week and you’ll be surprised,” Norman Vincent Peale.

Teacher, what is your best advice? Jesus: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. That is My best advice. That will allow you to love your neighbor as you love yourself. Those two idioms are world changers. (cp. Matthew 22:36-39).

Now thanks be to God, who always leads us to triumph in Christ. And through us reveals the fragrance of His knowledge in everyplace. For we are to God, the fragrance of Christ among all people, whether Christian or not. (cp. 2 Corinthians 2:15-16).

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In Everywhere and in all things. I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need, Because, I can do all things through Christ who strengths me. (cp.Philippians 4:11-13).

How is all the aforementioned accomplished by discipline and dependence. When we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Likewise the Spirit also helps with our weaknesses. Because we do not know how to pray as we should. So the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with expressions which cannot be understood.

Now He who searches the heart knows what the mind of the Spirit is. Because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Therefore, we know that all things work together for good for those who love God. To those, who are doing what He purposes. (cp. Romans 8:25-28).

The contrast between Peale, and the Matthew’ and the Paul’ is that one is based upon human ingenuity, and the latter completely outside of human ingenuity.

One is within the realm of the Soul, or human consciousness. While the other is of the Spirit, ones God awareness by experience. Like a new born child one grows from spiritual infancy to adult spiritual maturity. It’s not an over night experience and unfortunately, few attain adult spirituality, or the world would be very different.
