“I believe in Christianity, as I believe that the sun has risen. Not only because I see it, but because by it, I see everything else,” C.S. Lewis.
All around us through purposeful conundrums but seemingly lacking any uniformity. So the rational mind interprets them as acts of nature. As did, C.S. Lewis.
Not so fast because all of them represent the wrath of God. God’s wrath covers everything the rational mind can conceive. Bundled in one word. Unrighteousness! But defined this way, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness by we mortal. Who have taken God’s truths and have suppressed them in ways foreign to God. (cp. Romans 1:18 with exegesis).
So, can we mortals overcome His wrath? Yes, to an extent while 2/3 of us are tramped in a body that must die and decay. We mortals are of dust and to that state most will return. (cp. Genesis 2:7; 3:7; 17-19; Ecclesiastes 12:7a).
Death has mortal declarations referring to cause. Such declarations just mimic God, who said, you must die. (cp. Romans 5:12). The causes are relevant to the extent of providing human reasoning to the experience.
The real you and me is our soul and spirit. When the body dies the soul the source of our realities goes to Hades. It’s a place somewhere beneath us. It’s described as a gulf that separates the just from the unjust. The just are there in comfort while the unjust suffer. (cp. Luke 16:19-30).
Upon death all human spirits return to God. (cp. Ecclesiastes 12:7b).
Life doesn’t end there! “Said Jesus, “Do not marvel at this, for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves, will hear His voice and will come forth. Those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation. (cp. John 5:28-29).
As the sun gave, C.S. Lewis, insight that he described as understanding. It is rightly recorded as such. “For since the creation of the world His attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” (cp: Romans 1:20).
At the time of judgement some may argue no one ever told me the difference between righteousness and unrighteousness. The answer, Romans 1:20, the unrighteous are without excuse. And will experience the fate recorded in John 5:28-29),
