humility is the craft of God

Making America a better place each in our own way ought to find a way to apply the following. A nation is made up of people who want to settle issues between themselves and others. So this allegory taught by Jesus is modified and made modern. You can read it for yourself at Matthew 18:23-33. Making necessary modifications in order to make it contemporary. With this being the ideal resolution from Jesus. “Should you not also had compassion just like I had on you?”

Sometimes humility is hard to come by when the outcome is controlled say by the rule of law. Allowing for retribution when mercy would be the best antidote. But if ignored, Divine Providence has a way for exacting it’s own toll. (cp. Matthew 18:34-35).

As a Padre, I’ve seen it play out both ways. When authority exacts its remedy, but hardens the debtor. Sometimes losing a positive contributor to society. The means was accomplished, but the desired remedy was lost.

Often when mercy is extended the debtor voluntarily makes restitution. And then becomes a positive contributor to society. Try and relate what has been shared more in terms of behavior then money. Certainly it can also apply to monetary debt, as well, as to other societal behaviors.

Mercy is the Christ way, and anyone having experienced His mercy can attest mercy is the best remedy. Mercy is a revolutionary experience from within that manifests itself in a desirable¬† outward manner. It works mysteriously this way, “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from or where it goes. So is everyone born of the Spirit.” Bring about this change, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ they become new creations. Old thing pass away, and behold all things become new.” (cp. John 3:8; 2 Corinthians 5:17).
