troubles beyond imagination

“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passion a quotation,” Oscar Wilde.

Wonder if, Oscar, had Christendom in mind because that is what one sees in religious people. Standing outside their religious cathedrals. Making it easy to know what to expect before entering the holy of holies of their scared sanctuaries.

Perhaps that’s what Jesus meant with this expression, “I know your works that you are neither cold or hot. I could wish that you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold or hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” (cp. Revelation 3:15-16).

Religionist then and now rebound with this response, “I am rich, having become wealthy.” Causing Jesus to push back, “Do you not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor blind and naked.” (cp, Revelation 3:17).

It doesn’t take much of an intellect to clearly understand that the world is a screwed up place. It is, as such, because God is tired of being insulted by human behavior that denies His sovereignty. As Creator of everything that was, is, and will be.

Here are the consequences of such attitudinal reactions by humanoids who think that they are free to mock their Creators directives.

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and good!” “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” “They who justifies the wicked, and those who condemns the just. Both are an abomination to the LORD!” (cp. Proverbs 15:3; Isaiah 5:20, Proverbs 17:15).

Christendom is supposed to be the light that makes the world sustainable. With few exceptions the mark has been missed. Warning, “Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in My name,” saying, ‘I am the Christ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of war. See that you are not troubled. For all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. All these things are the beginning of sorrows.'” (cp. Matthew 24:4-8). Meaning all of the aforementioned is a prelude for what is yet to come.

So for those who think COVID-19 will pass, when a vaccine is developed. Maybe so, however a more deadly pestilence will follow. Why? Because, Jesus said so!

Advice from our Creator. “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to them and dine with them and they with Me.” (cp. Revelation 3:19-20).
