“Give us, O Lord, a steadfast heart which no unworthy affection may drag us downwards. Give us an upright heart which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. Bestow upon us, also O Lord our God, understanding to know your wisdom to find you, and a faithfulness that may finally embrace you through Jesus Christ our Lord,” Thomas Aquinas.
If in anyway the determined among God’s devoted ones seek to magnify God, as did, Thomas Aquinas. This then is some of what they can expect as they journey that path. “The steps of devoted people are ordered by the LORD. And He delights in their ways. Though they stumble at times, they shall not be utterly fail. For the LORD upholds them with His hands.” (cp. Psalms 37:23-24).
And sometimes outside, of normalcy of mortal expectations. It can’t be learned, it must be experienced. Resulting in ones life forever be changed. It’s something one doesn’t often talk about because people will think one is on the wacky side.
So It is recorded. “Are they not all ministering spirits (Angels) sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” (cp Hebrews 1:14).
“He shall give His angels charge over you. To keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up with their hands lest you dash your foot against a stone.” (cp. Psalms 91-11-12).
“Do not forget to entertain strangers, for some by so doing have unwittingly entertained angels.” (cp. Hebrews 13:2).
