For those of you, like me, who name Jesus Christ as our Redeemer and Savior. Here is what is important, we live in a world foreign to us. We are under no obligation to observe their customs, culture or laws. (Citations found in yesterdays discussion) Although, they would like us to think that that is not the case.
They use our Christ scriptures as whipping belts in order to beat many of us into submission. Like, Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-15; Hebrews 13;13. And, for the most part, it has worked.
Our rebellion is not against laws that further peace, well being and security within society. It’s the laws that are contrary to scriptural teachings. Remember from the U.S. Constitution it’s we the people, who decide, what laws exist, who are the ultimate governors.
The problem is that the government through their Supreme Court has decided that money has equal standing with humans. Therefore, who ever has the most money buys the various legal aspects that govern we the people.
They brag in one way or another that there is nothing to fear but fear itself. But they know that the Roosevelt adage was not true then (1933) nor is it true today. As then, so it is today, we have a collapsing economy which is to be feared.
Trump, and his stooges argue the economy has never been better in the history of the nation. They must contain public fears for the sake of panic control. Hoping to of set public realizations that it really isn’t so.
Economic fear should be paramount in every one whose subsistence depends upon their employment. Because all the socialistic barriers over the decades, have been dismantled that were designed promote fairness. Like collective bargaining with your employer. The unionized work place provided many avenues of financial sustainability while working and old age security in retirement.
A unionized workforce for collective bargaining with employers. Is the only way, for working Americans to obtain, and enjoy financial security and independence. And for that to occur with meaning, it must become an act through congressional legislation. With full such backing by senators, so that trump would clearly understand his veto would be reversed.
Trump is not the friend of working people. He’s a friend only to himself. He’s selfish and has no truth telling skills.
Working America needs the following disgrace to be erased. Because a very evil dogma called capitalism emerged to make a few very rich at the expense of the majority of people. Capitalism is a system that sees the work force as commodities of production. And like machines, when they break down, you discard them as useless commodities. Knowing that workers are a broken and divided people. Who in the 21st century have no recourse’s for retaliation. They see no reason, as to why they should’t ratchet up their brutality. High on their agenda is getting rid of medicare, medicaid and social security.
But, what they fear most is a revitalized body of believers. Which they though, that they had completely eradicate through imprisonment, brutal torture and unmerciful slaughter.
But they realized that the resurrected Christ had promised that He would never be without a witness. So in succeeding centuries, they managed to incorporate the church as a body among themselves.
They have reason to fear because Christ said, “Think not that I have come to bring peace on earth, but a sword.” (cp. Matthew 10:34). The mysterious hand of the Almighty causes that truth to reverberate at will through their consciousness. It’s why governments cozy up to organized Christendom. Allowing them to be tax exempt from property and sales taxes. To retain that status churches to agree to being the lap dogs of governments. All though most are not aware of their pitiful circumstances.
That scenario helps us understand the Apostle Paul’s declaration. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities (governments). Against rulers of darkness of this world (customs culture and laws). Against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Apostate church influences natural and supernatural) ” (cp. Ephesians 6:12).
Spiritual wickedness in high places means this, when Christ said to Peter. “… get behind Me Satan. You are an offense to Me. For you are not mindful of the things of God, but those that are of men.” (cp. Matthew 16:23).
Peter went on to discover, Revelation 3:22, which declares, “They who have an ear let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” It’s part of change yourself and change your world. And Peter, went on to give his life in the service of Christ. His admirable chronicles can be found in the Acts of the Church, chapters 2-12, a very worthy read and study.
As noted the Prince of Peace declared, “They who have an ear let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Because there can be no peace, unless things are done the Christ way. The Christ way is about economic security, as much, as it is about spiritual redemption. Which is why Christ said, “…., if any person desires to come after Me let them deny themselves, and take up the cross and follow Me. (cp. Matthew 16:24).
Change yourself, so you can change your world takes lots of determination and discipline. Often putting such people in considerable danger. Taking up the cross is more than a Sunday occasion.
