A tough Jew hating prosecutor, who knew how to rough up people and relished in their death. Got a taste of brutality when he was tossed to the ground and was blinded by his assailant.
He got over it and later identified himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ. Using it as a term of endearment, as he explains what that expression meant. For this reason, “I, Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles.”
If indeed, you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you. How by revelation He made known to me the mystery. And if you have read it, you will understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ.
Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets. That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel. Which I became a minister according to the gift of grace given to me by the effective working of His power.” See Ephesians 3:1-7.
So here is one of those mysteries explained in which we have a paradigm shift in regards to the all inclusive declaration of Jesus where He said, “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it,” See John 14:14. In yesterdays discussion it has been shared as to why it doesn’t work today.
Today we with the less inclusive means of prayer whose results for you and me are determined by God Almighty. So here is that promised tonic with a good dose of spirits to enhance your sense of well being. “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” See Philippians 4:6. No all inclusiveness there because it’s all individualized.
Here is another mystery hidden in ages past and revealed by Paul. Promise by Jesus, who said, “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away. The Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” See John 16:7.
And He is here, and here is the help the Spirit provides. “Likewise the Spirit helps with our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intersession for us with groaning’s which cannot be uttered He that searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because He makes intersession for the saints according to the will of God.” See Romans 8:26-27.
Here is another mystery for the prayers combined confidence. “And the peace of God which passes all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:7.
When you pray, you are not always going to get what you want. But you will experience, Philippians 4:7, manifesting itself in a peace that transcends human understanding. It’s an awareness that occurs over time, as people mature in spirituality. Spiritual growth is like physical growth. It happens over time and by experience.
