a grander garden

Yesterday, “A Framers Day in the Garden,” which discussed the elements for an American trip to the fiery furnace of destruction. Which Americans can avoid by self determination which after all used to be the American way. It occurred because Americans use to believe that her greatness of self determination was anchored in mysticism. Created through subjective intuition fostered by prayerful awareness. Which brought about a determination to create a nation depended upon God Almighty. Expressed through what would become links of Judaism and Christianity together. And, those cords of thoughts combined created America the Beautiful.

With penned lyrics by, Katharine Lee Bates, showing the sustaining fruits of a nation bowed before God in absolute faith and dependence.

1. America! America! God shed His grace on thee. And crown thy good with brotherhood. From sea to shining sea! 2. America! America! God mend thine every flaw. Confirm thy soul in self control. Thy liberty in law! 3. America! America! May God thy gold refine till all success be nobleness and every gain divine! 4. America! America! God shed His grace on thee. And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea! 5. America! America! God shed His grace on thee. Till souls wax fair as earth and air. And music-hearted sea! 6. America! America! God shed His grace on thee. Till paths be wrought through wilds of thought by pilgrim foot and knee! 7. America! America! God shed His grace on thee. Till selfish gain no longer stain. The banner of the free! 8. America! America! God shed His grace on thee. Till nobler men keep once again, thy whiter jubilee!

An unusual birth, America! Echoing its body parts from the divinely inspired lyrics penned by Bates. Riding on the back of Great Britain’s lion symbol. Suggestive of the nations challenges from infancy and onward where strength and bravery are needed. And picturesque of the lion.

Sweet sleep how refreshing it is. Unless you have a disturbing dream. On a particular night Daniel had such a dream. Perhaps jarred awake, he wrote down those impressions. Saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.” See Daniel 7:4.

This discussion will focus on the winged lion. Dig back and recall your history. Plymouth Rock does it ring a bell? People crossing the Atlantic fleeing religious persecution. On a boat that barely succeeded in its mission. They were the courageous pilgrims who beat the odds because of a determination to create a republic form of government free of government intrusion into life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

And so that fearless lion became air born by its powerful wings like that of an bald eagle. With the bald eagle being symbolic of American sight, strength, speed, endurance and faithfulness.

So the eagle free from the lion lifted up. And made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. Embodied with the characteristics of the United States. The United States history is one benevolence and known globally as, “Uncle Sam.”
