Do historians record events with a particular prejudice? Determined to give events a slant favored by one or more special interest groups? Of course they do, and it’s why history is calculated from a prejudicial perspective.
For instance, historians are always chasing the powerful and the perceived influential for the latest scoop concerning the Israeli/Arab Muslim dispute. Perhaps a historians dream come true occurred several years ago. When one of the greatest attempts to find a resolution for that conflict occurred, in late November 2007, at Annapolis, Maryland. When 50 nations, including 17 Arab states gathered; attempting to lay a format for negotiations to bring peace to the Middle East.
Historians from all those nations were busy putting together data telling the story about that historic conference from their prejudicial perspective. Because, that’s what secular historians are all about. And as sure as the calendar turns from one day to the next this history will be studied from many different perspectives by tomorrow’s scholars and students. It is a way that nations guarantee a historical perspective that is favorable to their legacy. And as students are taught the efficacy of that legacy; politicians are assured a favorable place in history. Now you know why politicians have such a fowl smell. And history isn’t objective, despite their insistence otherwise.
And the only thing that changes is one day to the next, and the years roll on. And these students grow up, and perpetuate the same falsehoods as scholars, politicians and religionist. Of course, this done from their own prejudicial perspective because secular history is all about preserving a particular nation states rightful place in history, even when some to many nation states should be condemned by their historians which of course includes the United States. It’s how governments use historians and religionist to successfully peddle wrongs as right.
They say from the earliest ages possible students were taught, God, family and country. It’s a lie because what is really desired is for academics to teach country, family and God. It’s done in subtle ways, like the ways images are promptly displayed. Like the flag, reciting the pledge of allegiance, singing of the national anthem, reciting of the Lord’s prayer, Bible on a teachers desk and the display of the ten commandments. And academics proved it true, and the church went along with it, as anything offensive to country, family and God was removed. Arriving at yesterday, all that remains is the pledge of allegiance and a moment of silence. And today, all that remains is the pledge of allegiance with out students placing a hand over their heart confirming an allegiance to God. And guess what, in some classrooms is a posted notice advising students that if the pledge of allegiance violates their conscience they can remain silent. Oh, could it be? Yes it is! It’s apart of yesterday also because the pledge of allegiance has been mostly discontinued. In its place is a useless process called the morning show. The morning show might include academic and athletic achievements, or student achievements as community volunteers. Including any unusual teacher accomplishments. What is easy to see is that God has been dropped from the equation all together. And now you, know what’s wrong with America. How do you know that it’s wrong? America is becoming a cesspool of depravity! The problem with depravity is that over time it becomes the new normal.
And if, you want to understand history before the scholars, politicians and historians give you 50 different versions. About the Israeli/Arab Muslim conflict because nothing has change since 2007, except that it’s 2017. By the way from that Annapolis conference, of scholars, western politicians the historians won that historical debate because of the 50 nations only 19 were from the Middle East.
Understanding history, is made so, from a history book called the Bible. The Bible is God’s legacy of the past, present, and all future history. All of it dismal, and disappointing to God, but at least it’s accurate and without prejudice. Except for the way Christ is factored into this equation. First as Redeemer for the disgraced, and then heir to God’s kingdom on earth.
For this discussion, I’m going to take the reader on a short journey into the book of Revelation. Recognizing the Apostle John, as the historian who reported the events recorded. Wondering if John had a particular prejudice? Did he give those prejudices a particular slant favored by special interest of his time? Of course he did because he was God’s historian. And what he wrote, occurred by the very directional breath of God. It’s accurate, and not bias because we have this historical record. “All scripture is by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” 2 Timothy 3:16.
The Apostle John, was one of several men to be given a personal audience with God. That makes John very interesting as a historian. Is what he wrote believable? The answer is yes for some, and no for others. Powerful advocates are on both sides of the fence. As I have suggested before, the curious reader will gather information. Then proceed with conclusions, that will place the reader on one side of the fence or the other. And as this padre has stated previously, there is no attempt to persuade. But only to stimulate thinking, and research, then the truth will be yours. Success comes from open mindedness because luggage of prejudice guarantees closed mindedness.
What will be helpful here is that John records events that will occur in the future. But before, we travel there, lets take a look at John’s audience with God.
John happened to look skyward. Then a door opened in heaven. A voice said, come up here! I will show you things that ‘must’ happen later, Revelation 4:1-2, ceremonial introduction 3-7, verse eight, holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.
Being mindful that the following is what God showed John which he recorded for all posterity. A time will come when a smoke will darken the sun. The air will be polluted. Are these occurrences suggestive of a nuclear blast? Powerful enough to effect the entire world? See Revelation 9:2. Yes! Perhaps upon the United States to the glee of ISSI. ISSI is in its infancy, nevertheless, some American politicians are saying, ‘We are afraid.’ Declaring that ISSI is far more dangerous than Al-Qaeda.
But God will provide for some, those who have the seal of God on their foreheads, verses 3-4.
Others will be tormented wishing for death, but death will not come, Revelation 9:5-6. Very picturesque of the Japanese, who survived two United States nuclear blasts. Nuclear poisoning results in a horrible death. One can only imagine how horrible the suffering, when death won’t come. Who deserves it more than Americans, who have turned against God. Agreeing to obliterate any awareness of God from the American conscience.
Revelation 9:7-10, are suggestive of mighty armies not vulnerable to advanced sophisticated warfare like that of the United States. Declared to be golden and shown to be invincible. Note verse nine, breastplates of iron, sounding like chariots, suggestive of unstoppable maneuverability resulting in the punishing of the people. In our modern world, who, or nation or nations, has been able to even make a serious dent in Islamic aggression anywhere in the world? Oh! Yes, the nations claim containment, but the results say otherwise. Today, Islam owns the world. Muslims can go anywhere and attack whom they will, at will.
This punishment continues with the sting of scorpions. Maybe suggestive of the use of biological welfare. Lasting for a specific period of time, five months, Revelation 9:10.
People spared, are by decree of God Almighty, those seen as the grass of the earth and green like trees, Revelation 9:4.
Jesus Christ is merciful and begs the nations to repent. America is special in the sight of God. It seems God will spare America if her people repent. The window is one of five months, Revelation 9:5. The unanswerable questions, where is the community of nations and in particular, the United States in this historic time line of the coming Fifth Trumpet? Is it literal or figurative? And if neither, is God in the process of adding new chapters to the history books with the unbelievable? A world under Islamic rule, and absent the presence of the United States from the face of the globe.
No matter how you slice the pie; America was designed to be the worlds savior from God’s perspective. But God’s perspective has been ditched, and America and the world is heaping big trouble.
Over this vast, and powerful army is one from the bottomless pit; suggestive of Satan. This person in Hebrew is named, Abaddon, meaning destruction. And in Greek Apolyon, meaning`destroyer, verse 11.
John records, one woe is past with two more to follow, verse 12. Look out!
There you have it, a perspective from an ancient historian, who claims as his source, God. With some speculation and emphasis from this padre.
As far as what took place at Annapolis, it produced no peace in the Middle East. Nor will any Arab/Muslim initiatives before the United Nations. Especially the Arab/Muslim attempt to secure land for peace or statehood for the Palestinians. Nor will Pope Francis’ initiatives. Don’t let anyone fool you, he has designs on Jerusalem as the crown jewel of his papacy.
Because what the historian John records from God, a not a very pleasant future for the Middle East or the rest of the global community. It’s got to be done the God way. A history lesson God has been trying to teach the world for centuries.
So if you are not right with God, now is the time to right your wrongs through Jesus. Easily done through Romans 10:9-10. Because times are only becoming more dismal, but more about that later.
