a backwards gallop from somewhere to nowhere

“Human nature it self is evermore an advocate for liberty. There is also in human nature a resentment of injury and indignation against wrong. A love of truth and a veneration of virtue. These amiable passions are the latent spark. If the people are capable of understanding, seeing and feeling the differences between true and false, right and wrong, virtue and vice, to what better principles can the friends of mankind apply than to the sense of this difference,” John Adams, 1775. Who would become the nations second president, serving from 1797-1801.

Considered by many to be more of a political philosopher than a politician. What Adams referenced are all godly attributes owned by our Creator and Savior. Which become ours, as ones life evolves with spiritual understanding.

No doubt memorial and inspiring thoughts. But it needs a foundation for such an occurrence to be experienced. So in due time divine intervention became necessary. When, “God sent His son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved,” John 3:17.

A process by sacred declaration for salvaging wreck lives became a necessity. It had its beginning centuries ago, in the garden, as recorded in the book of Genesis. A single act in in the garden by Adam and Eve condemned all of us. Forcing God to make this declaration, “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel,” Genesis 3:15. It’s been humanities struggle for centuries. The struggle for behavior supremacy expressed through their lineages. Expressed through constant back and forth struggles for the souls of humanity. Found through the serendipitous ways of the nations Judeo Christian heritage. Available today experientially as follows, “That if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and the mouth confession is made unto salvation,” Romans 10:9-10. It is only through Christ that our individual condemnation is erased. And a pathway is opened, for understanding what, John Adams’ was articulating. And later, what the Creator made available.

Two centuries later humanity has a slim chance to reach those amiable heights discussed by John Adams which he recognizes as a latent spark. When sparked would become a soaring flame, and would of course make individuals better people, and thus a better world.

Because, the enmity of the challenger is bruising the heal of our Lord Jesus Christ. The originator of our troubles has every reason not to give up. Because that, latent spark has lost its appeal. Through a galloping trend away from everything that once was crystalized as American.

John McCain when honor does not matter

The reality of death brings with it an internal innateness which is not established by conditioning or learning. It’s just there within us and feared by most, if not all of us. It’s that lingering fear of the unknown. It’s even within those pestering insects. Try killing one of them and it’ll scamper to avoid the sting of death.

As we all know, Sen. John McCain, made that journey from the known to the unknown. So were is that place of the unknown, where, Sen. John McCain, is as an aware functioning being? Somewhere beneath us one suspects.

So here is a journey of worthy of the readers attention. Because most likely, you will make that journey.

First a foremost, we are triune beings. Consisting of a body that houses our spirit and soul. We are told that upon death the spirit returns to God, who gave it. See Ecclesiastes 12:7b. As for the body, this is recorded, You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. See Ecclesiastes 12:7a; Psalms 104:29b. The soul represents our awareness of what it means to be human. Upon death it is transported to Hades, translated meaning the grave. And that is where, Sen. John McCain is residing, for now.

Jesus taught a truth for illustrative purposes. Comparing two people one who had everything admirable and the other who had nothing. Here is what we know about Hades, the grave. It’s compartmentalized. Both men died. The person of accomplishment was tormented and begged for water. While the other man existed, in comfort. Furthermore, we learn that the parties are aware of each other. But there is a great gulf separating them which will not allow them to escape, or the comforted to help them.

But there is astute awareness with ability to reason and communicate. He begs that that the unaccompished man be allowed to warn his brothers of the dangers they face, if they also come to this place of torment.

He is told that bringing one back from the dead will not cause them to repent. You can read the full account about death and the afterlife at, Luke 16: 19-31.

Here is what you need to understand. Sen. John McCain is on one side of that gulf or the other side. It’s not about the haves and have not’s. It’s about repentance. Sen. John McCain’s residency in Hades is based solely upon the following scriptures. And those scriptures apply to you and me, excluding no one. “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” See Romans 10:9-10.

Hades, the grave, is not the end of the process for this is recorded. This was said by Jesus, “Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in their graves will hear His voice. And come forth, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those, who have done evil to the resurrection of condemnation.” See John 5:28-29.

It doesn’t end there, “For since by one man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each in his own order, Christ the firstfruits, afterwards those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign to till He puts all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.” See 1 Corinthians 15:21-26.

tomorrow is depended upon today

After yesterdays discussion of sci fi stuff made real, it’s time to hit the customary stuff. Which is about church and state. And in particular the United States, and its association with land based lampstands.

Now these lampstands aren’t your usual holders of light. But as we have learned from previous discussions they represent ordinary people. And through their ordinariness they are able to accomplish what’s most unusual. Which in light of yesterdays discussion, they must step up and do what’s not ordinary. Because tomorrow is depended upon today.

There was a Jewish assembly or synagogue in what today is Turkey. Which was one, of six other synagogues in the area. Those Jews had abandoned the rites, and ceremonies of the old economy under Judaism. And embraced the new economy offered by and through Jesus. Whose purpose during His first advent as their Messiah was to establish for the Jews their long promised kingdom on earth. Jesus didn’t come here for the purpose to be brutally tortured and murdered. That’s just the way things played. From the perspective of divine providence it’s about choice. Choice is complicated with many scenarios. By their choice, their kingdom will be established in the future. It’s that in between period that’s playing out on the world stage today.

John put together what he knew about each of those seven assemblies. Combined them into one manuscript, and made them available to those collective assemblies. And perhaps, to all other known assemblies in the then known world. There is praise and condemnation directed at each assembly. Suggesting a return to the former or experience the consequences.

Except for the assembly at Smyria. Where John, talks only about the consequences of faithfulness resulting in the crown of life. John offers no hint as to what it means to be given that crown of life. One can only suspect it represents a special status for those who have earned it.

It should be understood that those combined letters are relevant today. Suggesting behaviors to emulate, and circumstance to be aware of, so that one is not derailed. Then to experience having their lampstand snuffed out.

The power be with you

The Word the most powerful instrument on the face of the globe. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,” John 1:1. With Jesus being God because He said so, “I and my Father are one,” John 10:30.

The Word traveled forward centuries. Blessing many, and cursing even more, the curse, see Revelation 12:9. Here is the results. “I have given them your word and the world has hated them because they are not of this world just as I am not of this world,” John 17:14. “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, Amen,” Philemon 1:25, as you read on!

Many advantages exist for us, who are not of this world. Like the following, “And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the Spirit of grace and supplication,” Zechariah 12:10a. That is a prophecy for the end time, but it has meaning for us in Christ and its found in Revelation 22:16b, “I am the root of David, and the Bright and Morning Star. Which takes us back to Zechariah 12:10b, ” and they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for His only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one is in bitterness for his first born.” Because He was wounded and bruised because of our transgressions, and from that fatal process we have peace and are healed,” Isaiah 53:5.

And we in Christ know that we have been sent to testify to the churches, Revelation 22:16a, our sorrows as shared with the prophet Zechariah in chapter 12:10, with the bitterness for the loss of a firstborn. Hoping to wake up a sleeping church to combat the evils of society that would crush His church. Because Christ was badgered and bloodied because of us, Revelation 19:13. Now redeemed, we must bring the world to it knees through the preaching of the gospel while there is time, Matthew 24:14. With bitterness for the loss of God’s first born which the redeemed share. Our duty is to pick up his cross and put aside our self interests, Mark 8:34b, then fight to convince the world of their need to repent and become part of the redeemed, Ephesians 2:1. Because of the treacherous influences of yesterday, Ephesians 2:2.

But that together, and you’ll be one up when it comes to understanding world events. Because the dead know nothing which is the power of sin, Ephesians 2:1. Putting the world in a state of mean and angry resistance. Resulting in global chaos for individuals and nation states.

“Grace to you and peace, from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ,” Philemon 1:3.

The Proof is in the Pudding

Most are interested in the future, so that they can better prepare and adjust to changing conditions. But the future is the vast unknown, and is impossible to predict, and adjust to it with any degree of accurate precision.

But God, in his infinite wisdom has provided us with signs. Kind of a road map, if you please, allowing humanity to see certain occurrences through out history that might indicate what will happen next.

For example the birth of Christ was announced centuries before his birth, as noted in Isaiah, chapter seven, verse 14, which reads,”Therefore the LORD himself shall give you a sign. BEHOLD! The virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Centuries later we have this prophetic announcement. “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call his name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Scriptural text:Matthew 1:23). Histories most prolific announcement having ramifications for everything people seek and want.

True to his word, King Herod dispatched his wise men. On their journey they saw the sign announced by Isaiah. A star appeared in the Eastern sky, and went before them as a guide. Stopping over the very place were Jesus was. They went into the house, and found Jesus with his mother, Mary, and worshiped him. (Scriptural texts:Matthew 2:7-11). A monumental historic event because unto us was born a Savior, who will save us from our sins. (Scriptural text:Matthew 1:21). I do not know about you, but I constantly praise God for the saving ability of Jesus. With a dreadful slate of sins wiped clean. Then given newness of life and purpose, as described in 2 Corinthians 5:17.

It is easy to understand the future from the past after it occurs. But it’s not so easy to understand the future, when it is yet to occur. And that will be the story of the next discussion. Songs from the past that impact our future. They are indeed monumental, and will have historical impacts upon individuals, and nation states.

The mystery of each scripture is connected to Isaiah 55:11. Doing what they are supposed to do, according to John 3:8.

What 2 do when the unfortunate happens

Famed author, Dan Brown, during an interview hurled this provocative statement. “The power that religion has is that you think nothing is random. If there’s a tragedy in my life, that’s God testing me or sending me a message.”

Dan Brown got it all by making such a comment. Because, tragedies are just that, random! God’s plan is detailed in its scope and leaves no room for random occurrences. If something unfortunate occurs and they do occur. God is not selecting individuals, or even nation states as recipients of selective messages or occurrences. His divine plan is far more complex than that. Everything that God does, is done in an orderly way. But for now here is a short responses to Dan Brown’s statement. Jesus having a conversation said, “Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them. Do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem?” (Scriptural text:Luke 13:4). In a dialogue with Job, Eliphaz said, “For affliction does not come from the dust, nor does trouble spring from the ground; yet man is born to trouble, as sparks fly upward.” (Scriptural texts:Job 5:6-7).

Ugly and unfortunate occurrences happen, so one can’t find any better advice than this, “But as for me, I would seek God, and to God I would commit my cause.” (Scriptural text:Job 5:8).

Up here got something 2 show u

“Come up here John! I will show you things that must come hereafter,” Revelation 4:1. Indeed, John took a rather magical trip and at times rather frightening. But he got through it all, right to the end for what God wanted him to see, and for us to learn. Because John, passed all of what he saw onto us. So that we might understand the course and the events of human history.

And for this discussion, the continuation of a unpopular human event called death. Here we will continue the discussion, by discussing the second resurrection. Humanities last chance to have their names written in the book of life.

As we all know, death can occur at any moment and without notice. With most of the worlds population having died rejecting any validity to what Jesus said, “I tell you no (no meaning there is no difference between people) that unless you repent, you shall like wise perish,” Luke 13:3. People escape perishing through John 3:16, which records for humanity the following. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The questions to be answered is what about the millions who died before the first advent of Christ? And those people, who have rejected Christ since his advent? Then what about all the children to young to make a conscious decision about their future, and subsequently died?

Peter answered those questions for us when he wrote, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that they should come to repentance,” 2 Peter 3:9. Peter is setting the stage for the second resurrection. Taking into account all who died regardless of the circumstances or age. Which will take into account, the earths most ancient of the dead, to the most current of the dead.

Here John shares this revelations with us which provides answers to our aforementioned questions raised about death. Some of our answers came from the previous discussion about the first resurrection. But now we are moving onto the second resurrection, in order to get some answers.

Participants in this second resurrection have an uncertain fate. Note Revelation 20:6 were the people of the first resurrection were called blessed because the second death would have no power over them. Because they had responded to the aforementioned verses in this discussion, namely, Luke 13:3, John 3:16 because of 2 Peter 3:9. Escaping the potential death of the second resurrection because they took advantage of God’s unwillingness that any should perish. By repenting from their sins, and accepting God’s sacrifice of His only begotten Son. By believing in Him, thus escaping the second death. And now the recipients of everlasting life. Which did not occur at their death, but will at the time of the first resurrection.

John had quite the climatic journey between the first chapter of the book of Revelation to the closing chapter. Where we find John about to close the book. But John was told not to seal the words or prophecies of this book, Revelation 22:10. Then Jesus spoke to John through one of his angels. Who said, “Do not seal the words of this prophecy, for the time is at hand.” Then Jesus spoke, “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” And the Spirit, and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely, Revelation 22:16-17. That has been the Christ message since His first advent until the end of the age.

Just prior to the ushering in of the new age of a new heaven, earth and Jerusalem. One last opportunity will be provided to accept His gift of everlasting life. For all those gathered, from the ancient of times. The people who happened to be in the right place at the wrong time and died. Along with all the innocent children, and people still left alive on earth as the age ends. This is their opportunity, to respond to the Spirit of the bride who says, “Come!” Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Once again people are offered salvation and eternal life. But the offering of Revelation Revelation 22:17, can be turned down. Then will come the judgment of Revelation 20:15. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” There to be returned to the ashes of dust. Because if you noticed the word perish was use in Luke 13:3, John 3:16 and 2 Peter 3:9. Making their final decision of rejection of Christ indicative of being extinguished to ashes, as opposed to be being tormented forever while still alive.

The gospel of Christ is free, and without forced acceptance. In the the end, the Christ lesson about the duality of death comes down to this reality. It’s not arbitrary but a matter of personal choice.

Hell is real, with its tormenting flames. For all of eternity, and reserved for some very unsavory characters. Review the discussion, “From Rome to Hell a Fit Place 4 a Pope, 07 December 2015. And a few other discussions thereafter.

Supernatural Story Time Made Practical

This is an era of phenomenal events. Impacting events such as continued unemployment for many. A stagnant economy which isn’t getting any better for working people. The Tampa Bay Times, Sunday, 20 September 2015, Section D, Business reprinted these statistics from the Economic Policy Institute. Prior to 1970, as the economy became efficient and expanded, everyday workers benefited through better pay. Using a chart showing workers productivity boosted productivity from 1948-1973 by 96.7% resulted in employee hourly pay increased by 91.3%.

Starting in the 1970s things began to drastically change. Their chart shows workers productivity from 1973-2014 grew the economy by 72.2% while hourly grew 9.2%. This writer alleges this United States productivity to pay gap in wages occurred through corporate conglomerate, and government union destruction of employee collective bargaining rights. Solution, Unionize! Stay collectively strong!

Helped along by a government obsessed with deficit spending now in the trillions of dollars and growing. Where politicians serve as governors in name only because they are beholden to the nations corporate conglomerates. Who dictate legislation favorable to themselves. If a politician hopes to be reelected, they’ll take lobbyist suggestive legislation and make it governing law. So that, when they leave office, they too can become a lobbyist. Running off with inflated salaries and with fancy bonuses while laying of more workers while elected cronies.

Complicated with global warming highlighted by Pope Francis’ U.S. visit.

And kudos to republican presidential candidate Ben Carson for saying that he would not support a Muslim as being President of the United States. Unless their ideologies were compatible with American values as enumerated by our Constitution.

There is nothing American about Islam! It’s their declared objective to bring the United States under the rule of a caliphate, who will impose Islamic law and customs upon all Americans. Eliminating everything American such as freedom to assemble, speak and worship.

With all the aforementioned, who has time for the really important stuff, like Christ stuff? Well for those who do, here is journey of hope. Starting with a two century old pageantry centered around the angel Gabriel. With this historical announcement to Mary concerning the birth of her first child, Luke 1:26-33, To be named Jesus, and known as *the Son of the Highest,* Luke 1:31-32.

Not a single event during this passing year has escaped the scrutiny of, the Son of of the Highest, our Jesus. With many of them being catastrophic in nature. But with all of them serving as chastisements from the Son of the Highest. As we deal with the tenth month of this calendar year. Which no doubt, looks like a run away train which will continue to pick up speed, as we gallop deeper into this twenty first century. With Jesus signaling from His throne in heaven. All is not well with how humanity governs itself. So using the past to serve as a barometer for the future, things will get worse.

But that is the story of history dating back to Adam and Eve, because as we know from that history, each action has a reaction. So lets take a little journey with Joseph. One of the most neglected persons of Christendoms pageantry. And see, what we can learn from Joseph. Because Joseph was, and still is a rather obscure as a history maker. More like you and me, being representative of the ordinary people of history. But, he did some some rather extra ordinary things for God. WITH THE ESSENCES OF THIS STORY BEING, SO CAN WE. So happy story time only it is not the stuff of fantasy but of spirituality. It’s all preordained and the duty of all Christians; in one way, or another.

For Joseph there was no angelic fanfare, as to the purpose with the woman he was associated with. We do not know the extent of his relationship with Mary. Were they in a relationship of courtship, were they engaged to be married, or were they a married couple? At sometime in their relationship, they married, according to Luke 2:4-5, where it is recorded, *… Joseph went to Bethlehem for the purpose of being registered with Mary his espoused wife.*

The angel Gabriel did not lay out any immediate directives, as to what extent  Joseph was to be involved in the life of Jesus prior to His birth. Other than what is recorded in Matthew, who shows the human side of Joseph. Who upon discovering that Mary was pregnant, allegedly by supernatural intervention by the Holy Spirit. This was to much for Joseph, a just and honorable man. So he decided that they should have the baby secretively, absent public scrutiny, Matthew 1:18-19. But God thought Joseph needed to understand thoroughly, why this birth should be a public event. So He dispatched an angel to effect his dream state. Causing Joseph to dream the following, *… saying Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take unto yourself Mary your wife; for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Jesus; for He shall save His people from their sins,* Matthew 1:20-21. And the devastating announcement of history, that would change the world for all time. Reaching our 21 century, Matthew 1:22-23. Now all that was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the LORD through the prophet saying, *Behold the virgin shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Immanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.*

Such wonderful redemptive mercy made available to a world then, and now. But it’s opposed by Christ haters. For a few, growing fewer its a splendor of fulfillment, beauty and joy. But for most a travesty of distortion to be destroyed. And that is why, more than anything else, things will get worse.
From Joseph, the obscure man of history, who was permitted to be a part of histories greatest event, the birth of Christ. So we too, can in our own obscure ways, be apart of histories greatest event. It’s done by accepting the following responsibilities. *All things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and has committed unto us the ministry of reconciliation,* 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.

All of us, in Christ, share this shame. *… then they will look upon Him whom they have pierced. Yes, they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him, as one grieves for a firstborn* Zechariah 12:10. *For he has made Him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him,* 2 Corinthians 5:21. And knowing our sins put Him to death, that should cause us to mourn His death with grief felt like the loss of a firstborn. Knowing that his death made us righteous in the sight of God.

Therefore, like Joseph, obscure to destiny, as are most today, but like Joseph, in our own ways despite the complexities of the aforementioned world. We can make a historical impact upon our world. By assuming an ambassadorship in the ministry of reconciliation.

Being an ambassadorship for Christ is dimensional, but the central focus is to introduce our life transforming message of Christ. On the periphery are the clustered destroyers aforementioned in the first paragraph. Which stand in the way of America reclaiming her destiny as a *city on a hill,* Matthew 5:14. A city whose *light* is for the nation and the world. But in modern times that light has been dimmed by a mostly apostate church. But revival and change, is in the air. Be part of it for the glory of God.

get this and U got it

People! Let everyone be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. Cas the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. (cp James 1:19-20).

It starts like this, If anyone is in Christ, they have become new creations. Old things have passed away; behold all things have become new. (cp 2 Corinthians 5:17). Here’s the secret. Some behaviors are changed instantly while others are of a cumulative nature.

Me, maybe still a divinity student or recently ordained. It doesn’t matter, it’s the story that counts. Through a series of events, and tragedies, this padre was elevated to a senior position in a particular Christian organization. On staff was a talented gay guy. Who had become different because he was in Christ. One thing though had not changed and that was his sexual lust for men.

So he married a straight woman, thinking that would erase his lust for men. You got it! It didn’t work. He shared this account with me. Saying, he couldn’t get a hard on, when attempting to make love with his wife. Unless he fantasized that he was making love to a man.

You are perceptive, cas he wasn’t story telling but truth telling. Hearing what I heard, I asked silently, Jesus why me? Cas I didn’t have any answers. You see, he questioned whether he was a new creation in Christ. After all, his most troubling passion had not gone away and been replaced with a heterosexual desire for his wife.

So imagine how this padre felt when his wife came home work to discover that her beloved husband had killed himself. Continuing to tell this padre that she knew all about her husbands struggles. And felt comfortable, that together they could work through his struggles with his sexuality. She got it right cas she had answers. That is what was meant, when it was said, sometimes newness in Christ is a cumulative experience and not an instantaneous newness.

With a little effort most can recall struggles that hung on long after one became a Christian. A process that occurs by confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (cp Romans 10:9-10). Immediately, 2 Corinthians 5:17, is owned by the recipient.

Take ones educational experience with the years of struggles to finally capture ones degree. With it often being the case with ones Christ journey, one knows what one wants but the wanting seems elusive. Then with the struggling backed with perseverance that elusive change is owned by its recipient. Upon reflection it’s often called miraculous. Because, sometimes it is!

The following has as many applications as there are scenarios. And it’s recorded by Jesus, who said, “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (cp Revelation 3:21). Powerful stuff for powerful people.

A clumsy liar

Travelers by sea often take with them Maltese lapdogs or monkeys, to while the time during their voyage. One such traveler had a monkey. When they were off cape Sunium on the coast of Attica a violent storm arose, in which the the ship capsized and everyone on board, including the monkey, had to jump over board and swim. A dolphin which saw the monkey mistook him for a man, and taking him on its back carried him to land. On reaching Piraeus, the port of the Athenians, it asked the the monkey if he was Athenian born. When the monkey said he was, adding that his parents were illustrious citizens of Athens, the dolphin asked if he knew Piraeus too. The monkey took Piraeus to be a man; so he said he new him very well – in fact he was one of his good friends. This whopping lie so enraged the dolphin that it tipped him into the water and left him to drown.

This fable satirizes people who, ignorant of the truth, and think they can make others swallow a pack of lies.  (source:Penguin Classics-Fables of Aesop-A Clumsy Liar)

“For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect,” Matthew 24:24. So are you apart of the very elect? Those who name Christ as redeemer and Savior. Be careful, because many churches are self serving. Who tell convincing pack of lies. The one, and only true church is built around only what the scriptures teach. And that church, is not a structure of concrete, steel, wood and stained class windows. But rather a group of people, who have taken the words of Jesus seriously. When He said, “Unless you repent, you shall likewise parish,” Luke 13:3. “And he who does not pick up his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it,” Matthew 10:38-39. From there you will build a faith based upon what the scriptures teach. And in every respect you are the church. Just get busy doing the work of Jesus Christ and you’ll experience challenges that seem insurmountable, but are not. Bringing you a sense contentment that seemed impossible.

Brought about by this supernatural phenomenon. “Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. And in the midst of the seven golden lampstands, one like the Son of Man. He had  in His right hand seven stars, and out of His mouth went a sharp two edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shinning it its strength,” Revelation 1:12-13b; 16. Then Jesus spoke from the midst of those lampstands, “The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches,” Revelation 1:20.

For those not part of the elect, because of the hypocrisy you observe. But nevertheless are curious, I suggest you start reading the gospel of John. And who knows what might happen because the best voice for God is his Spirit. It works according to what is recorded in John 3:8. “The wind blows where it will, and you hear the sound of it, but can’t tell where it came from, and where it goes; so is every one born of the Spirit.” Because we have this eternal promise, “So shall my word be that goes out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing that whereto I sent it,” Isaiah 55:11.

Everybody hopes to gain something from their effort, me too. Here it is, “If you have knowledge let others light their candles in it,” Margaret Fuller, 19th century woman’s rights activist.

Death its complexity

Recently we celebrated one of the most liturgical days of the church calendar. Observed as ‘Pentecost,’ which assures, “… That whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,” Acts 2:21. Made necessary, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive,” 1 Corinthians 15:22.

Before Pentecost, going back centuries many had died. And without exception, except for Jesus Christ, this has been and will continue to be the destiny of the living. Because the Prophetess Huldah, addressing the consequences of sin. Said, “Surely, therefore, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace; and your eyes shall not see all the calamity which I shall bring upon this place …,” 2 Kings 22:20. And so it is today, the dead rest in peace in their graves. Without knowledge of the calamities beholding to the kingdom of men.

We know this to be true because Christ is God, as recorded in John 10:30, “I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.” And having established heavens occupancy in John 3:13, which reads, “NO ONE HAS ASCENDED TO HEAVEN, BUT HE WHO HAS COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, THAT IS THE SON OF MAN, WHO IS IN HEAVEN.”

The dead are in waiting for the order of the resurrection. Which is as follows, “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the ‘first fruits’ of those who have fallen asleep,” 1 Corinthians 15:20. This event of grandeur, is known as the First Resurrection. “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God, the Father, when he puts an end to all rule, and all authority, and power,” 1 Corinthians 15:24. What a prophetic history lies between the lines of this paragraph. Learn it! Engage yourself in the study of the scriptures and walk away having an awareness of tomorrow, today.

Some might ask, what about the millions, who never had the chance to accept Christ, as their redeemer because they died before the ministry of Christ occurred? With many of them being God’s prophets and faithful servants. Are they to remain in the grave? No!

Perhaps the greatest historical event, yet to occur finds its destiny from the prophet Daniel. “At that time Michael shall stand up. The great prince, who stands watch over the sons of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation. Even to that time, and at that time your people shall be delivered. Everyone who is written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake. Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament. And those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever,” Daniel 12:1-3.

This is the first resurrection mentioned above. Recorded in Revelation 20:6, “Blessed, and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the the second death will have no power, but they shall be priests of God, and of Christ and shall reign with Him a thousand years,” Revelation 20:6.

“And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth (1000 yrs.) shall awake. Some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt,” Daniel 12:2. Then God said to Daniel, “But you Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase,” Daniel 12:4.

And after this great increase in knowledge, the end comes. And it plays itself out in the book of Revelation. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection, Revelation 20:5.

We already know that blessed are those who will have part in the first resurrection. And the question has been raised concerning those who died before the time of Christ. will they just continue to rest in peace in their graves? And what about the millions since Christ, who refused his gift of everlasting life? And those living when Christ returns for the second time and ends everything as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:24.

This is deep and complex stuff and answers many of lives riddles, not only about death. But also events that are and will continue to occur, as the end of the age approaches. Get updated by self emersion in the study of scriptural teachings and its history.

The day before yesterday

To think of the conquest and repeated defeats of Israel. Only to reemerge again and again. The longest surviving thriving civilization in the history of humanity. On the world stage today as a global power.

To the horror of the Arab/Muslim and Persian world, who still wants to eliminate Israel as a state, but can not. Should give everyone reason to rethink this God notion. What other explanation could exist for tiny Israel to survive and thrive. Many will say, especially the Muslim world. It’s because of the United States. And they are right to a certain extent because Israel and America are one and the same. It was so ordained, as He spoke that fact through His servant Jacob.

Just because oceans and land masses separate us, it doesn’t change the family relationship. It’s ordained by the God of Jacob, and passed through the house of David to Jesus Christ. And we in America hold that family torch in a proud way. But truly humbled, to be allowed to share the glory of God with his chosen people, Israel!

And hear we are today living the family legacy of Joseph on today’s world scene. Want some understanding of what tomorrow’s headlines scrambled across all the modern mediums of mass communications? Want more insight into what has been said? It would be most helpful to read the posting, “From yesterday 2 today understanding America.” With special attention given to five verses in Genesis.

Strong evidence indicates that America is turning its back on its Jewish/American heritage. Putting itself and Israel at risk. Benjamin Franklyn had this to say to his colleagues at the Constitutional Convention. “All of us who were engaged in the struggle must have observed frequent instances of superintending providence in our favor.” Defined from Genesis 49:21-26. Said differently through our history but understood as the superintending providence in our favor. Sadly as America denies the superintending providence of God in its affairs. The United States is paying the price as she is being destroyed. No longer able to distribute her magic at home or abroad. Causing the world to sense that America has lost whatever it was that made her wealthy, powerful and invincible in the market place or battlefield. All acerbated as the United States shrinks its ties with Israel.

“To that kind of providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity. And have we forgotten that powerful friend?” In Franklyn’s day no! And perhaps right up and through the second world war, the nation held firm convictions as to whom provided America’s superintending providence.

And have we now forgotten that powerful friend? Or do we imagine that we no longer need his assistance? In Ben Franklyn’s America, no!In Barack Obama’s America, yes! It’s not all on Obama. It had it’s beginning after World War Two and has continuously gotten worse. Until we have the America of today. A godless nation by observed behavior. That America no longer needs His superintending providence and can do it on our own. America will learn it can’t! And further more by such behaviors and attitudes, Israel is put risk. For that God has promised a severe curse, Genesis 12:3. Plainly establishing our family survival by covenant, Genesis 17:4).

“I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth-that God governs the affairs of men. And if a sparrow can not fall to the Ground without his Notice, is it probable that an Empire can not rise without his Aid?” (Franklyn spoke a truth which is recorded as, “… In order that the living may know. That the Most High rules over the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will will. And sets over it the lowest of men,” Daniel 4:17. May America be spared rule by the lowest of men. By returning to a dependence upon the superintending providence who gave us life and is taking it away.

Another posting, like yesterday’s, that just barely touches upon what needs to be known but also how to react to it. Again time to submerse oneself in the word in deep contemplative study. Match your study results with world affairs and be shocked. Then react appropriately!

From yetserday 2 today understaning America

Centuries ago God laid out a plan of history. But for most, anything that smells like it has a God connection, brings instant ridicule. There are so many ways to respond to such a notion that I’ll just put it this way. By using an old euphemism, “The Proof is in the Pudding.”

An old man, called his family together, and said, let me tell you what is going to happen in the future which he called the last days, Genesis 49:1. Days in which they would play a crucial role. He finds a lot of fault with them. He says to his firstborn Reuben, in whom he had high expectations. But concludes, “You are unstable as water, you shall not excel.” Then addressing two of his other sons, Simeon and Levi, he tells them that they are instruments of cruelty.

Then he comes to Judah, his fourth son, and has this to say. Judah, you are the one that your brothers shall praise. Your hand shall cause your enemies much trouble. And you are destined to be respected as much as you will be hated (ancient and modern Israel), Genesis 49:8-12.

What we have in those five verses is the picturesque strength of Israel. While giving us the bloody Messianic prophecy of Jesus Christ. Employing euphemistic expressions evolving through the people who constituted Israel. And gave the world the Messiah. And expressed in all its glory, when Jacob prophesied “I have waited for your salvation, O Lord,” Genesis 49:18. And around those phrases evolves what troubles the world. Because Jesus is an ancestor of Judah. Through the Kingdom of David would emerge the worlds Messiah. With Jesus returning at some unknown future date to sit on the throne once occupied by King David. And the world was given the Messiah more than 2,000 years ago. And it is why, the Jewish/Christian bond is inseparable. Our histories and destinies are one.

In between Jacob laid out some details about his other sons, But for now, a discussion will center around Jacob’s son Joseph. Who had two sons, Manasseh the eldest son and his younger brother Ephraim, Genesis 48:8-16. In verse 16, we find these words. Note the words carefully because much history, including today’s events swirl from that verse. “An angel, who had redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named upon them, and the name of my father’s, Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into multitude in the midst of the world.” There we have the prophecy for the birth of three nations, Israel, Great Britain and the United States. Along with the ancillary English speaking nations of the world. And Jacob prophesied that from the seed of Ephraim shall come a multitude of nations, Genesis 48:19. As the Jews were scattered globally as a persecuted people. Finding themselves being instrumental in creating the aforementioned countries. Fulfilling yet another prophecy, “As for me, behold my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of many nations,” Genesis 17:4. Which included, Manasseh, where we find these words also in, Genesis 48:19,”… I know it, my son, I know it; he also will become a people, and he be great; ….”

And from that statement America was born, centuries later. And then, Jacob or Israel, turned to Joseph and said, “Behold I die; but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers,” Genesis 48:21. And centuries later Israel is once again on a portion of the land of her fathers. Struggling to keep it, as the Arab/Muslim world wants to destroy Israel.

Israel is mostly without the help of Great Britain. Because it’s a very different day for Ephraim or Great Britain. As she has fallen to near nothingness on the world stage. Also announced from prophecy, but that will be a discussion for another time.

The following is the heritage Joseph left for those trio of nations. Rich, powerful and invincible they were through out history. A trio of prosperity and power making them the invincible envy of the world. This is how it occurred. Five verses from the Bible giving the world what it had never seen before. “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well, whose branches run over the wall. The archers have harassed him, and shot at him, and hated him; but his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob. From there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel. Even by the God of thy father, who shall help you; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies under, blessings of the breast, and of the womb. The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills; they shall be on the head of Joseph, and a crown on the head of him that was separated from his brethren,” Genesis 49:22-26.

To think that the conquests and repeated defeats of Israel. Only to reemerge again and again. And then the Almighty of Israel gave the world Great Britain and the United States. And here we are today living the legacy of Joseph on today’s world scene. Tomorrows headlines scrambled across all the modern mass mediums of communications. Will in one way or another be telling the story of those five verses from Genesis.

Surely, one realizes that this discussion barely touched upon what needs not only to be known but also how to react to it. Time to open the Word and engage oneself in some deep contemplative study.
