From yesterday, “I will kill U cause U R bad,” keyed to give understanding to a world gone mad. Which boiled done to this, “But most of all because they know not my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The only one, who can make the contrast explicitly clear. By allowing detection of the camouflaged leopard.”
So here we go to the book of Daniel who helps explain the following. “And I (John) stood upon the sand of the sea (symbolic for among the people) … and the beast which I saw was like a leopard (the biblical definition for a leopard is of a creature that is watching. And is quick to kill because the sins of the people are great and getting worse, Jeremiah 5:6c). … and the dragon (dragon defined as that old serpent, the Devil and Satan, Revelation 12:9) gave him power, and authority,” Revelation 13:1-2.
Lets take a look at what Daniel unveils from chapter two. There we find a king by the name of Nebuchadnezzar, who represents darkness, the substance of all governments, including our own American government. And as with King Nebuchadnezzar, darkness is confusing, so it is with all governments. While the light is soothing because it represents God, who offers a bright future, not based upon hope, but upon his sacred promises. From which all governments should govern, and not just the empires Daniel will expose.
Daniel 2:31-38, reconstructs for King Nebuchadnezzar his forgotten dream. We discover that this grand image of his dream was magnificent, as it was beautiful. But its manifestation, as a living entity was terrifying to the King. What Daniel outlined for King Nebuchadnezzar, and for us today were images of kingdoms or governments. But in the schemes of importance these governments don’t amount to much. However from the perspective of darkness they are everything. From the perspective of light, they are just a collection of clay, stone, trees, metals and other substances from the earth. Molded into lifeless statues. I could develop this theme in much greater detail. But for now two scriptural references for support will due, First Isaiah 40:15, note a very little thing, and Daniel 2:21, note He removes kings and sets up kings.
Looking at verse 36, Daniel interprets the dream. Sharing with King Nebuchadnezzar the existence four powerful kingdoms. Can you imagine in the history of the world, world governments are lumped into four kingdoms? Imagine it because it so, therefore, understand what’s between those kingdoms and governmental darkness is owned by you. What’s between those four kingdoms is important. With the fourth kingdom giving life to ten additional kingdoms. They are on the world scene today. Well at any rate King Nebuchadnezzar is told that he is the head of gold. And that his Babylonian empire would rule the then known world with authority and power.
One can only imagine King Nebuchadnezzar’s reaction upon finding out that two other kingdoms would rule the then known world, after his fall from power. Perhaps he found comfort of being told that they would be inferior to his Babylonian kingdom. But it didn’t end there because Daniel sets forth the characteristics of yet a fourth empire. This fourth empire is the strongest of the four. Though it too would be plagued with problems (wars and divisions) and would be divided into ten kingdoms, verses 40-49.
Theologians and historians are generally agreed on a time scale for these four world empires. Suggesting that the Babylonian empire reigned from 605 B.C through 538 B.C. Followed by the Medo-Persian empire for the period between 538 B.C. through 331 B.C. to be replaced by the the Grecian empire 331-168 B.C. Only to see the creation of the Roman Empire from 168 B.C. through 476 A.D. This great Roman Empire which fought many crusades and humiliated the worlds modern day darkness of Islam. Saw itself divided into ten kingdoms around 476 A.D.
And really fast forward through the pages of history. It’s thought today that old divided nations of ancient Rome have emerged as the European Union. This emergence is still a work in progress. Along with the rebirth of Islam, as a primary source of darkness and evil. It’s thought that this beast of Revelation 13:1-2 will emerge to terrorize the world. But the beast is characterized as a leopard, so the world will hardly notice the impending darkness. No more than it does right now, and one wonders what Jesus is thinking. As He sees His church marching pretty much in step with the darkness.
Closing note: Turkey has sought membership in the European Union. Seeing itself, as much a part of Europe, as it is a part of the Middle East. It’ll not happen because Turkey is a Muslim nation. And the beast of Revelation 13:1-2, is thought to be the Roman Catholic Church. The dragon will not allow such a union because the two (church) and (Islam) have been mortal enemies for centuries. Perhaps because the dragon needs Islam to destroy the United States. Because all the world will worship the beast at some point in history. And the United States tolerates Catholicism, as one of its zillions of sects that are free to practice their religion. But to pay homage to a pope, it’ll not happen, unless. And the unless is underway, but it’s not noticeable because of the camouflaged leopard of darkness.
With these 49 verses of Daniel chapter two, Daniel has sketched a history of darkness and light. Showing clearly that the light which is our God, the Lord Jesus Christ will prevail as the Beauty, who slays the darkness of the Beast.
