america dream of visions

Capturing history can occur through the strangest of places. Like this phrase, “but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” It’s a plucked phrase from Genesis 48:19. Immediately recognized by many as a reference to Great Britain. Through her declaration of pride that the sun never sets upon her empire. Somewhere in her world, the sun was always rising. Protected by one of her national symbols, the lion know for it’s strength and courage.

Taking us to a person in history generally not thought to be very credible as a historian. Who in the end will show himself to be one of the most credible of historians. By writing down what he called a dream of visions. Must have been quite about the dream because he decided to record only its main facts. He says, “and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea.” Causing four great beasts to emerge from the sea, each different from the other. This discussion will concern itself with the first beast. See Daniel 7:2-3.

Get this! Our historian says that he saw what looked like a lion. But with one exception, it had wings like an eagle. His observations were focused on an unbelievable sight. Its wings were plucked off, as it was lifted from the earth. This lion bird journeyed to some unannounced destination and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. See Daniel 7:4.

From yesterdays discussion that event was the result of the anointing Jacob pronounced upon the oldest of his grandsons, Manasseh. Which read in part, “I know my son, I know. He also shall be great.” See Genesis 48:19. O America, you are that gifted flighted eagle that broke loose from that winged lion. Picturesque of Great Britain, who would experience the exodus of a people fleeing religious persecution from the throne of England. With the bald eagle becoming the official symbol of the United States that would replace that winged lion symbolic of the once invincible British Empire. And with this bird, making its flight across the ocean. And given the feet of a man, and made to stand up. With this magnificent bird given the heart of a man.

Having no choice the people of the United State are prophetically that man with a heart. Our forefathers tagged him Uncle Sam. With God Almighty directing him to be benevolent. Made the most powerful of birds after it was given the heart of a man. With eagle like strength with its powerful wings and capturing feet of prey. America the defender of life, liberty and justice.

train of life hitch a ride

The mysteries of our tomorrows can be very unsettling. Especially as we age, however, we know that death is no respecter of age. Therefore as the day progresses, we can’t be sure if we’ll live to see another tomorrow regardless of age. Even if one is robust with endless vigor. Then there are those among, us who are aged, and diseased and very frail. Surely there tomorrows are few. Because of that, many courtesies are extended to them. With their days being extended into many new tomorrows. Making the complexities of our tomorrows more mysteries.

This discussion is designed to answer, why the complexities of our tomorrows are mysteries.

What can we expect in terms of our tomorrows. Maybe 122 years. From Guinness World Records, it was Jeanne Louise Calment, who died in 1997. According to there records she lived 122 years and 164 days.

Wikipedia reports that the oldest person in recorded history was Methuselah. Their source the Hebrew Bible at Genesis 5:27. Which reads, “So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years; and he died.” Followed by Noah who lived 950 years. See Genesis 9:29.

So we have quite a drop in life expectancy from Methuselah, to Noah, who lived 950 years, and then to Jeanne Louise Calment. Why? It goes this way, And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh, yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Moses penned the above because divine providence chose him to be their spokesperson. Then their Spirit, becoming more intolerant with human kinds behavior making another adjustment in longevity. Penning by the anointing of divine providence wrote, “For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years; and if reason of strength they are eighty, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away. Who knows the power of your anger? For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” Found at, Psalms 90:9-12.

The aforementioned should be carefully studied. It tells us precisely why we die. There you will learn that few fear God. See verse 11b, “For as the fear of You, so is Your wrath.” Meaning there aren’t many who fear God today. Therefore fear is absent and God is angry. And one of the penalties is shortened life span. Despite all the advancements in medical science.

The saga continues tomorrow.

The unexplainable explained

“I returned, and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happened to them all,” Ecclesiastes 9:11.

It does seem that time and chance plays a significant role in many events, but not in all incidences. Here is an occasion, when time plays no role whatsoever. “Therefore, if any person be in Christ, they become new creations; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new,” 2 Corinthians 5:17.

And here is why time and chance do not play a role in all circumstances. “So shall my word be that  goes out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it,” Isaiah 55:11.

This then is how the unexplainable is explained. Jesus used this example, “The wind blows were it wills. And you hear the sound of it, but can not tell where it came, and where it goes; so is every person that is born of the Spirit,” John 3:8. Meaning that the unexplainable is sometimes explained, only from personal experience.

How diplomacy succeeds in the Middle East.

Immediately after Isaiah’s prophecy see Isaiah 40:1-2, another prophecy was issued in verse three. It was foretold that in the future a man would arrive encouraging the Jews to prepare the way of the Lord. His name was John the Baptist. Through his prophecy the Jews were given specific instructions. “Make straight in the desert a highway for our God,” Isaiah 40:3. That statement served as a map for the future. Allowing the Jews to identify with that statement because they have had a history of God requiring service from them. But this time, way in the future, they would be asked to serve the cause of Christ, after embracing him as their Messianic Savior. On all fronts, most Jews have rejected that prophecy from Isaiah. By refusing to embrace Jesus as the atonement for their personal and collective sins as a nation. And thus, unable to serve the cause of Jesus. The Gospel of John sums up their reaction this way. “He came unto his own, and his own received him not, John 1:11. An unfortunate and horrible declaration for any person or nation to have to bear. Don’t let it be said about you, as a modern day Jew or Gentile or for the nation that you reside in.

Jesus himself had this reaction to the whole Jewish affair. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that killed the prophets, and stoned them, who were sent to you.” Despite their behavior Jesus pitied them by saying, “How often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!” Matthew 23:37. Because of their rejection once again, the double punishment from Isaiah 40:2, seems to continue.

This time Jesus declares, “See your house is left desolate!” Matthew 23:38. There is no greater tragedy for a nation or an individual than to be deserted by God. And every such tragedy has great consequences. And it’s playing out on the world stage today. And even more so for those Jews, who will have to experience Israel once again as a ravaged land. A highway not made straight for prosperity from both the spiritual and mundane perspective.

History moves on with the torch being passed onto Christians. When Jesus said, “For I say unto you, you shall not see me henceforth, till you shall say blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord,” Matthew 23:39.That statement is his personal announcement concerning his second advent to our earth. The teaching here is far more complex because it sets the stage for our Christian responsibility. Which returns us to the book of Isaiah because the Jews failed to make straight in the desert the highway for our God. The world is a desert; despite her varied appearances that suggest to most, that it’s not so. The question that must be answered, are we Christians within the United States willing to prepare the way for our God?

Think in these terms from Isaiah 40:4. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain, and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it,” Isaiah 40:4-5. Meaning God will end this blemish upon his creation with or without the involvement of Christian America. All flesh will see the glory of the LORD. With its accompanying consequences. Stepping up for God, has its own special blessings. God would rather that it be that way, as opposed to the consequences for taking the path of the Jews.

Consequences must be understood in terms of righteousness as spelled out through out the Bible. And it will play out in catastrophic ways for Israel, and the world community of nations. No nation, or its people will be exempt from all its accompanying consequences for failed acts of righteousness.

Christendom needs to know the varied and complex mixtures of Judaism, Christianity and Islam as world forces. Those three religions at this particular time in our history will determine the worlds future. All other history on our modern world stage is just peripheral history which represents fall out from what’s really going on between Jews, Christians and Muslims.

These history makers are really irrelevant noise makers. That infamous peacemaking quartet made up of the United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia. And the, emerging power house from the East, China. Because nation states, and their diplomats have self serving agendas, that aren’t even close to God’s preordained agenda for successful diplomacy. They simply do not understand this 21st century paradigm. Especially as it relates to the Middle East and its Islamic problem. Because their diplomacy is absent the only solution, bless Israel!

That’s what the Middle East peeace negotiations must be about. Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, must insist that peace must be about finding ways to bless Israel. And President Donald Trump, must use his bully pulpit to reaffirm that message. God gave the United States that responsibility through the prophet Jeremiah. God did not call that declaration pulpit bullying, but used the expression, “hammer of the earth,” Jeremiah 50:23. The United States is God’s hammer of the earth making wrongs right. As God’s daughter of Babylon, perhaps she will fare better than did Nebuchadnezzar’s Babylonian empire.

The United States, was chosen by God to assume responsibility for Israel’s failures. And was designated by divine selection to be His, “battle-ax and weapons of war.” For with you, I will break the nations in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms,” Jeremiah 51:20. Who has broken more kingdoms of evil than the United States? Answer none! But in her second most important task, the United States may fail. Which is to broker peace for Israel, through the formula God provided. Her first task of importance is recorded in Revelation 14:6, recorded as, “…, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth. To every nation, tribe, tongue and people.” The perfect formula for peace between the Palestinians and Israel.

Perhaps the United States is the worlds second most hated nation in the world, after Israel. If the United States fails Israel. The worlds hatred for the United States will be released, when God releases his vengeance through the evils of Islam. It could be said that God has a shared grudge against Israel and the United States. That grudge has been inflicted upon Israel a number of times, but nevertheless she’ll endure another severe beating before she returns to that Hen forever, who had promised to take Israel under Her wings for enduring protection. This time Israel will not refuse. Ending centuries of suffering for the worlds most punished people.  Which one would think, would have caught the attention of the nations. That it’s not wise to get on the bad side of God. Which is especially true for the United States because she had a spiritual birth, as the bearer of responsibility to make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

God has been merciful to the United States punishing her in ways not noticeable by most. But not seriously enough, to put her statehood in danger. That’s about to change for several reasons, but primarily for not standing with Israel against the Arab/Persian/Muslim world.

God has provided his hammer of the earth; His battle-ax with superior weapons to destroy her multiple adversaries. Her most powerful weapon is contained in the words of Genesis 12:3, ‘bless Israel.’ Starting with her war for independence against Great Britain and ending with with the second world war. Including her war with herself that ended the barbarianism of slavery. And some other skirmishers along the way, like the destruction of the iron curtain. But its mostly been down hill adventures since then, as the United States lost its God given and directed spiritual responsibilities. Today the United States is so far removed from that spiritual responsibility that it seems inevitable that the following will be her fate. For thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, “They shall hold the bow and the lance. They are cruel and shall not show mercy. Their voice shall roar like the sea. They shall ride on horses, set in array like a man for battle. Against you, daughter of Babylon, modern day America.” Jeremiah 50:42.

when the roll is called will u b summoned

The Bible is as fascinating, as it is mysterious. Fascinating because more than one resurrection will occur. Mysterious because we are left with no time table, as to when these events will occur.

At sometime in the future the dead in Christ will come from the grave to meet Jesus in the sky. As Jesus, descends from heaven. See 1 Thessalonians 4:16.

These dead people in their graves have a special significances to Jesus. They are the people who died since Christ ascended to heaven. There significances is special to Jesus because they joined him in his long struggle against evil. Many having suffered for the cause of Christ by being imprisoned, beaten, tortured and murdered.

Jesus left clear instructions, as to what he expected. First, and foremost, His great commission was to produce fruits indicating to the world our repentance. See Matthew 3:8.

Christ cautioned that people should give careful consideration about their choices after repentance. Because, Christians become disciples recognized at the first resurrection as the “saints” of Daniel 7:18 and “priest” in Revelation 5:9b-10.

Jesus said to the people in Luke chapter 14. Here are the prerequisites for discipleship. If you do not hate your family, and your very life. You can not be My disciple, verse 26. This is to be taken allegorically because it was a common technique used by Jesus to elevate the seriousness of His mission. To do otherwise would contradict what Christ taught about love. Taken a step further, it would be impossible to serve any cause successfully, if one hates oneself.

Then Jesus said, if you do not bear My cross, and model my example, you can not be my disciple, See Luke 14:27.

Through verses 28-32, Jesus provides some practical examples. If you are going to build something consider the cost. Do not enter a war without careful consideration because the end may be humiliating. Which Jesus summed up by saying. You must be willing to forsake everything in order to be My disciple, verse 33.

Fast forward to sometime in the future. In the midst of the elders stood a lamb, as though it had been slain. Having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the the Seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth, Revelation 5:5-6. Jesus is referred to as being a lamb 28 times through out Revelation. John the Baptist said Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, John 1:29. The seven horns and seven eyes, with the eyes suggesting Christ’ prefect knowledge in seeing all of history. The horns suggesting His all powerful presences everywhere at the same time. Powerful enough to correct the misdeeds of history. Many misdeeds occurred because the eyes are the seven Spirits of God through the pictorially failed churches in the beginning of Revelation. Having seen all, His anger is expressed.

Christ has some serious grievances, as the Plaintiff for His unjust execution because He came to His own, and His own rejected Him. Then it became our time and we also turned our backs to Him. One directive after another. Symbolized on the cross, when Jesus weep from the cross, “My God, My God why have You failed me?” See Matthew 27:46.

In every respect that was the Christ way of introducing Christendom to its future, as it labors to bring forth results to justify the Father’s sacrifice. Christians must execute that great commission which was put in these words, “Bring forth fruits showing repentance.” See Matthew 3:8. Strongly suggesting that it’s Christendoms duty not to allow the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world to be a murder without consequences.

Everything Christendom does or doesn’t do ties into an operational design by God which will have its appointed day. Job recognized part of this by writing that Christ was anxious to finish His work. He wrote, “If a man dies, shall he live again? (Yes!) All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes. You shall call, and I will answer You; You shall desire to the work of your hands. For now, You number my steps. But do not watch over my  sin. My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and you cover my iniquity.” See Job 14:14-17.

However it works out, whether brought forth from the grave, or among the living, who meet him in the sky. Work hard for Christ because it’ll be a glorious time.

Ordinariness its greatness

A prolonged, and desperate fight was going on between some dolphins and whales. When a tiny sea gudgeon came to the surface, and attempted to reconcile them.

It was dismissed with this retort from one of the dolphins, “We would rather go on fighting till we kill one another than have you mediating between us.”

Some nobodies think they they can be somebody when they interfere in a row. (source:Penguin Classics-Fables of Aesop-A Person of No Importance)

So says Aesop, an ancient Greek philosopher. But another humanist philosopher chimed in with this advice. “Ordinary people are capable of doing extraordinary things. That is what it is all about and they must count,” Studs Terkle.

In the scheme of things, larger than life itself. Most likely view themselves to be a person of no importance. Mr Terkel, now deceased, but then nearing the century mark, most likely had witnessed. Many seemingly nobodies, accomplish extraordinary things, just because they were very ordinary.

A prolonged and desperate dispute of dolphin whale magnitude has crippled the church. Without question the Church collectively could accomplish so much, if we were not so splintered. But that unfortunately is the way of human nature.

Apart from betrayals (Judas) and denials (Peter), the first dispute within the church occurred between Paul and Barnabas. Found in the Acts of the church. Where they could not agree on whether John Mark should accompany them on a revisit of the churches they had visited, Acts 15:37-41. Where it is recorded, “The contention was so sharp between them that they departed one from the other,” verse 39.

Paul could hardly be considered a nobody in the church. If anything, he would have to be considered a somebody. Nevertheless even, Paul succumbed to his human nature. Centuries later we know that aspects of contention lingers on among we Christians.

But it does not diminish what is recorded, “For as the Lord commanded us saying, I have set you to be a light of the nations, that you should offer salvation to the ends of the earth,” Acts 13:47. It really is sad that the church is so splintered. But we take hope, that each in our own way can serve Christ. As did Paul, and Barnabas having gone their separate ways. Undoubtedly somewhat weakened because they were such a powerful team. Willing to put their lives at risk for Christ, along with others, Acts 15:26.

Ever wondered, as I do, how would one respond to such a test? While some things are uncertain, this is very certain. All will be put to the test, when they refuse to worship the image of the beast, Revelation 13:15, Because, “He has power to give life to the image of the beast. That the image of the beast should both speak, and all who would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” What will they do, and possibly you or me, capitulate, or stand for Christ.

In the meantime how does one avoid such calamities? By making sure that you understand the prophecy of Joel 2:28, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” Over the centuries that prophecy has played out many ways. One practical aspect of the Spirits manifestation is found in Romans 8:26-27. “Likewise, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intersession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intersession for the saints according to the will of God.”

A Two Way Choice

“Human government is more or less perfect as it approaches nearer or diverges further from the imitations of this perfect plan of divine and moral government,” John Adams, 1770.

There is little doubt that American presidents want the very best for America. But the further the nation travels from the concepts of our founding fathers. The greater the distance between God and nation. Our nation was founded and evolved, as a people. Who demanded a heritage built around the scriptural account of its Judeo-Christian teachings. It worked well, making America the worlds most prosperous people, an envied people. A stalwart of people, who fended off global evils. Rescuing countless millions from brutal tyrannies. That was yesterday, today America is determined to travel in an opposite direction on all fronts.

Thus giving creditability to John Adam, who saw the pathway for a less perfect government. Today America is that less perfect government because America refuses to imitate God’s divine plan for a moral government.

With Peter recording the following designed to turn the nation around. “Because it is written, be holy for I am holy. And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each ones work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay in fear. Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by the tradition from your fathers. But with the precious blood of Christ, as the lamb without blemish and without spot,” 1 Peter 1:16-19.

Because there is no such thing, as a divine plan without the precious blood of Christ for a people or its nation. It’s from his blood that America was able to build its heritage. Today its thought that our heritage is to be purchased through silver and gold learned from recent generations. Which  assures this response, every ones work will be judged individually and as a nation. Because the command, is a demand, ‘Be holy for I am holy.” So the way is a two way choice.

America, America what will become of you. Will you call upon the Father or continue to pursue the corruptible? Days will tell!

Shrewdness and trouble

A fox tumbled into a water tank and couldn’t get out. Along came a thirsty goat, and seeing the fox asked him if the water was good. The fox jumped at the chance. He sang the praises of the water with all the eloquence at his command and urged the goat to come down. The goat was so thirsty that he went down without stopping to think and drank his fill.

Then they began to consider how they were going to get up again. “I have a good idea,” said the fox, “That is, if you are willing to do something to help us both. Be so kind as to place your forefeet against the wall and hold your horns straight up. Then I can nip up, and pull you up too.” The goat was glad enough to comply. The fox clambered over his haunches, shoulders and horns. The fox reached the top of the tank and ran off.

The goat complained that he had broken their compact. But he only came back to say, “You must have more hairs in your beard than brains in your head, my friend. Otherwise you would not have gone done without thinking of how you were going to get up.”  (Penguin Classics:Fables of Aesop-“Look Before you leap”)

Jeremiah had this take on Aesop’ analogy about looking before you leap. Apparently it was because people can’t be trusted to do the right thing. So he said, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I the LORD search the heart. I test the mind, even to every person according to their ways, according to the fruit their doings. As a partridge sits on eggs and does not hatch them. So are people who profit (like the fox) but not by right. It will leave them in the midst of their days. And in the end, they shall be the fool,” Jeremiah 17:9-11. So, it could be said that ones shrewdness could make for big trouble, if one puts merit into what Jeremiah said.

Bible tells its own story best

The following is a picturesque journey about the people of America and their global compadres, who will condone carnal behaviors offensive to Jesus and His Father. Such behaviors and attitudes will create mundane illusions that prosperity and world peace can best be attained by destroying Christendom and Israel.

Establishing a world government seated in Jerusalem with an Assyrian leader from the revived Roman Empire, suspected to be  German. Creating one last fling at world dominance, as the false prophet. Because of an inertness to worship, a false god will be tolerated by the false prophet. He is thought to be the anti Christ, a Roman Pontiff, some suspect. This duo gain their authority and power from the beast thought to be Satan.

For thus, has the LORD spoken unto me. “As the lion roars, and a young lion over his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him. He will not be afraid of their voice, nor be disturbed by their noise. So shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for its hill. Like the birds flying about, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending it; He will deliver it, and passing over it; He will preserve it.” (Texts:Isaiah 31:4-5).

And so, from the previous discussion, “Is a turnabout for America possible? Short answer, no!” Also a declared “Long answer tomorrow.”

The long answer:”Turn you unto Him (God Almighty and His LORD (Jesus) from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.” (Text:Isaiah 31:6). There is ones turnabout individually and nationally.

When that occurs the following happens, “For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold which your own hands have made own hands have made for yourselves.” (Text:Isaiah 31:7). Picturesque of those carnal behaviors and mundane alliances discussed. The gospel of repentance and Christ belief is offered to individuals and not nations. Nations are doomed, even our beloved America, but individuals can be spared.

“Then Assyrian shall fall by a sword, not of man, And a sword not of mankind shall devour him, shall devour him. But he shall flee from the sword, and his young men shall be become forced labor. He shall cross over to his stronghold for fear, and his princes shall be afraid of the banner,” says the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and whose furnace in Jerusalem.” (Texts:Isaiah 31:8-9).

Nothing divine it happened by time and chance

The North Wind and the Sun were disputing which was stronger, and agreed to acknowledge as victor whichever of them could strip a traveler of his clothing.

The wind tried first. But its violent guest only made the man hold his clothes tightly around him, and when it blew harder still, the cold made him so uncomfortable that he put on an extra wrap. Eventually the wind got tired of it, and handed him over to the sun.

The sun shone first with moderate warmth, which made the man take off his top coat. Then it blazed fiercely, till, unable to take the heat. He stripped, and went off to bathe in a near by river.

This fable shows that very often persuasion is more effective than force. (source:Fables of Aesop-Penguin Classics-“The Gentle Art of Persuasion”)

Who knows, maybe Solomon was the subject of a dispute between the North Wind and the Sun? Because Solomon in Ecclesiastes concluded the following, “I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happened to them all,” Ecclesiastes 9:11.

We inhabit an imperfect earth by our own fault and with imperfect inhabitants. And it has been said, that the best intended plans are sometime laid to waste. Causing the unexplainable to occur leaving us speechless and shaking our heads in wonderment. Because so often things only can be explained by timing and chance.

Time and chance an everyday occurrence, if one stops and gives some thought to it. Playing out something like this, being at the right or wrong place at a particular time. Where good or poor fortune strikes, things that can only be explained by time and chance, maybe.

Even Jesus raised the question when he asked, “Or those 18, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them.” Then continuing, “Do you think that they were sinners above all men in Jerusalem?” Luke 13:4. This is how Jesus settled the matter of time and chance. “I tell you no! But except you repent, you shall all likewise perish,” Luke 13:5.

Yes, factors of weather can bring about disastrous or glorious effects. But it is certain the disastrous and the glorious occur as God’s means to signal to us, repent or perish. But repentance and accepting Christ, are perhaps the most scoffed at notions ever proclaimed. But the million upon billions placed in graveyards will someday know that it was the mistake of a lifetime. For the living, time and chance is ours. So what will it be repent or perish? Making for now time and chance our property.

Different ways

When a man loses the prestige that he once had, he becomes the plaything of others.

A lion worn out with age and feebleness lay breathing his last. First came a boar, and with a blow from its flashing tusks took revenge on him for an old injury.

Then a bull lowered its horns and gored its enemy’s body.

A donkey, seeing these attacks delivered with impunity, started kicking the lion’s forehead with its heels. The lion was on the point of expiring, ‘it was hard enough to bear,’ he said, ‘when those brave animals triumphed over me. But as for you, you shameful blot on creation to be at your mercy, as I die is like dying twice over.’ (source:Penguin Classics-Fables of Aesop-“The Mighty Fallen”)

All conflicts boil down to this truism. one way, or another, a better way is mine, therefore do as I say. Until adversities take hold, and one becomes vulnerable for payback. For human nature can be merciless, when it senses that payback can’t be revenged.

It had it origins centuries ago, when the serpent said to the woman, “… You will not die! God knows that in the day you eat thereof, (note discussion Genesis 3:1-3) then your eyes will be opened, and you shall be as God, (exactly what all conquest promise) knowing good and evil,” Genesis 3:4-5.

Perhaps the serpent thought it was time to pay God back for having him dispatched from heaven. “And there was war in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon fought and his  angels and prevailed not. Neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him,” Revelation 12:7-9. But not wanting to tangle with God directly, after such grand defeat, it decided to take revenge on the woman.

And the serpent succeeded, and from that time Aesop’s fable has produced ramifications. Allowing each reader to know one, or both sides of the fable.

But God has no regrets concerning the serpents fated fall from heaven, and He is not about to expire. Instead this our future that He will bring about. “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie with the young goat. The calf and the young lion, and the young animals together; and the child shall lead them,” Isaiah 11:6. And it just gets better, “He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; and nation shall not lift up its sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more,” Isaiah 2:4.

With this plea, “O house of Jacob, come you, and let us walk in the light of the LORD,” verse 5. Everyone in Christ is of the house of Jacob. So we should intensify our efforts to show those on the outside of Jacob’s house the way inside. Because his house leads towards what everyone wants, peace of body, mind and spirit.

As for the serpent, he checked outside of Jacob’s house along time ago. With God denying him the comforts of paradise. Creating this monument, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever,” Revelation 20:10. Bet ya that old serpent will regret the acts of revenge that it took out upon the woman. And the unknown multitudes, who have felt the brunt of his revenge.

Indeed life is about choices we make. But there is a commonality among us, that excludes choice. It’s a time line that the Psalmist puts this way, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if, reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away,” Psalms 90:10. And that in capsule form, is what our existence amounts to, as we travel that time line.

But some of us want more, as did the writer of the Old Testament book of Job which is to live again. Who presented his case as follows, “People who are born of a woman exist but a few days. And they are full of troubles. They come forth as flowers, only to be cut down. They flee as a shadow and do not continue,” Job 14:1-2.

Then Job asked the eternal question. Which has fallen from the lips of most, if not all, at some time or another. “If a man dies, shall he live again?” But, with this intrinsic awareness. “All the days of appointed time will I wait, till my change comes.” Job 14:14. And it will come for the dead, as well, as for the living.

Because we have this scriptural declaration, “You shall call, and I will answer You. You shall desire the work of Your hands, (accountability Revelation 22:12), Job 14:15. And that should give cause for everyone, to give careful consideration for the kind of life choices we make.

Two historic events wait there occurrence on God’s time line. Both which sing the mercy, that no person should perish, but that everyone should have eternal life.

John was privileged to witness future history in two segments. The first is an event begging for fulfillment. It will be a gala of a celebration. First God’s reward for the many, who had been executed for being faithful with their witness for Jesus and the Word of God. Refusing to worship the beast or receive his mark. They reigned with Christ, on those thrones for a thousand years, Revelation 20:4.

While at the same time John saw others, who had also been been faithful to Christ through out history, but remained in their graves. At the end of those thousand years. People dead for a long time, some more recent or even almost immediate. Were brought back to life, and this is referred to as the first resurrection, Revelation 20:5.

But the second resurrection brings hope to the many, who scoffed at all this God talk. Often making fun of such talk and ignoring any necessity for the Christ demand of personal repentance from sin. With absolute belief upon him, as ones redeemer and Savior. Which also dates way back, before the first advent of Christ. Including all the children to young to have made a conscious decision regarding the acceptance or denial of Christ. Along with all the ramifications, as to what it means to be human.

It was put this way, John was told not to seal the words of this book; for the time is at hand, Revelation 22:10. Then God in his everlasting mercy, will reach out to them one last time even after their death. People of all ages, irrespective of race, gender, ethnicity, or creed. They will be given that one last opportunity to repent and believe.

Standing before the Bright and Morning Star of all new beginnings, the Christ of Revelation 22:16. Inviting those not to reject his last plea to come and freely drink. With the Spirit and the Bride (believing Christians) saying, Come! And let them that are thirsty come. And whoever will, let them take the water and drink freely, Revelation 22:17.

Even at this stage of life, it’s about choice. Though the end of life from the Psalmist declaration in Psalms 90:10 had occurred. Death offers a second chance at life. But another negative choice will result in the second death and the grave (hades) which had spared them could no longer, and they were cast into the lake of fire. That is the second death, Revelation 20:14. All because it is recorded, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire,” Revelation 20:15. As recorded in Revelation 20:14, the second death is a permanent state of unconsciousness and nothingness. In other words extinction with God showing his mercy. Meaning there will be no eternal damnation in hell begging for all eternity for just a drop of water.

Of Men and Lions

Once upon a time, a lion, and a man were traveling together. And both of them were talking ever so boastfully about their accomplished feats. By the roadside stood a block of stone on which was carved an image of a man throttling a lion. The man pointed his finger with a degree of uncertainty, and said to his companion. “You see, we men are stronger than you.” A smile flickered on the lion’s face. “If we lions knew how to carve,’ said he, ‘you would often see a man with a lion on top of him.”‘

Many people, who talk boastfully about their courage and accomplishments are shown up by the grueling test of experience. (source:Penguin Classics-Fables of Aesop-Men And Lions)

Many Christians, who proudly boast, and say, with God all things are possible. A claim that is supported in Luke 1:37, which reads, “For with God nothing is impossible.” But it is evident that his companions, the church, nothing is possible. Except deep divisions among Christians and because of that a deteriorating world.

In 2016, it will only get worse, not because it’s penned here. But because the church Himself said it, “For there shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor shall ever be,” Matthew 24:21.

Woe to the earthlings said a voice, Revelation 12:12.

What happened at death Nothin’

There are lots of grave yard stories out there about what happens after death. None of them true, if you accept the Bible, as the authentic living Word of God. So expect a series of short discussions about death to set the record straight. Death is a mega buck industry making some very rich. Which includes, the death industry within Christendom.

So for starters, a journey into 2 Kings 22:20. “Surely, therefore, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in PEACE; and your eyes shall not see all the calamity which I will bring upon this place.”

A state of unconsciousness dating back to this historic declaration. “In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it were you taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return,” Genesis 3:19.

It hasn’t changed over the centuries! Death is the final experience reaching us in the 21 century. NEXT: Christendoms argument to the contrary.

United States decline what it is what it means Part 3

Many marvel that the United States isn’t mentioned in the book of truth, our Bible. However, America is referenced, just not specifically for reasons known to God Almighty. Her listing among the nations of the world is rather obscure but there. In Genesis the United States birth is announced through the great great great grandson of Abraham, Manasseh. (Scriptural texts:Genesis 48:8-20). Note verses 16, in particular, verse 19, “… I know. He also shall become a people, and he (Manasseh) also shall be great (United States); but his younger brother (Ephraim) shall be greater that he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.” Great Britain and her Common Wealth of Nations.

Then another man of visions said, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to on to feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.” (Scriptural texts:Daniel 7:2-4).

We know that the lion is the national animal of England. Daniel tells us that in his vision he saw that that lion had eagles wings. They were plucked off. Picturesque of the Pilgrims fleeing England for religious freedom. We also know that the bald eagle is the national symbol of the United States. Ending up on the shores of what would become the United States. Daniel tells us that this eagle was made to stand up on two feet like a man with a man’s heart. Picturesque of the United States has tagged Uncle Sam.

The United States use to believe that Jesus was precious to the nation. And because of her stance, America knew no shame from her enemies. But as time progressed the people lost that awareness, and have become disobedient. Most of the nations people have sided with their government to reject that stone, Jesus, whom their forefathers trusted in to build a nation. With Jesus being the chief cornerstone. And the nation for the most part is unaware that Jesus that stone, is the chief cornerstone. That held America together, as she became the envy of the world. Through her exceptional prosperity and unequaled military might. Is now experiencing the falling power of that stone as Jesus grinds the nation to powder. (Scriptural texts:Psalms 118-22-23; 1 Peter 2:4-8; Matthew 21:44a; Matthew 21:44b).

A thinkers thoughts Anthony and Feuerback

World problems today often seem to center around religious ideology. For this posting just a couple of thoughts from two profound thinkers.

“I distrust people who know so well what God wants them to do. Because I notice it always coincides with their own desires,” Susan B. Anthony.

“Faith is essentially intolerant because it is essentially bound up with the illusion that ones cause is also God’s cause,”Lidwig Feuerback.

Could that possibly be the major problem in the Middle East? And is it possible that the tensions there could erupt engaging the entire world? If so, is there a spiritual solution?

Yes! Continued tomorrow.

Its about the vision

“It should be your care, and mine, to elevate the minds of our children and exalt their courage; to accelerate and animate their industry and activity; to excite in them an habitual contempt for meanness, abhorrence of injustice and inhumanity, and an ambition to excel in every capacity, faculty, and virtue. If we suffer their minds to grovel and creep in infancy, they will gravel all their lives,” John Adams, 1756.

“Lo, children are an heritage from the Lord; and the fruit of the womb is his reward,” Psalms 127:3.

“Train up a child in the way he should go and, when he is old, he will not depart from it,” Proverbs 22:6.

In America today there is a great need to activate the aforementioned through parental diligence. But our Christian community, as a whole, must share in that diligence because America is becoming a godless nation. A land where gay’s can openly declare their homosexuality, but students can’t celebrate our Christmas nativity in their schools or His resurrection. Some schools are listing certain words that they consider offensive. Like bless you because it’s a religious expression. Which is for church and not school, so some schools declare. Including the rental of schools to conduct worship services during non-school hours. Despite the schools being theirs because they exist based from taxes collected. Public schools exist to serve the public’s needs and function as the public’s servants.

Annually students will be observing a day of silence. In honor of all the years homosexuals were silent about their sexuality.

From the only book that breathes life, our Bible, the Living Word, we are told “Where there is no vision the people perish; but he that keeps the law, happy is he,” Proverbs 29:18. Meaning what God advocates the schools must advocate. And what God condemns, the schools honor.

Students and their parents need work to get the Bible taught as an elective in our schools. To accomplish that it must be done in a professional way which will be acceptable to the school boards. But it takes money, in addition to professionalism. So here are some possibilities. Hobby Lobby initiated such a program in April 2014. Here is there contact info:Steve Green, 7707 S.W. 44th. So what’s the value of living the vision? If America is to have a free and prosperous future that future will be brought about by our youth. Who will come to understand, God’s multiple designs of truth from their course materials.

So if interested, and I surely hope you are. Get in touch with the sources provided and other sources are available  by conducting web searches. Ponder the often asked question, if not you, than whom? And the whom has multiple faces. They are the other you’s who have been waiting for the visionaries to come. Failure to respond and act will result in even greater godliness, among our youth. America’s high schools are becoming complete dens of decadence.

1948 what it means today part 2

To really benefit from this discussion, it’s highly recommended that you carefully read the previous two postings. Why? Because they provide significant proof that the Bible is authentic, reliable and thus believable. Read with an open mind, you’ll accept the Word of God, as living breathing voice of divine providence. A changer of individual lives and of nation states.

A number of scriptural verses were cited. Of particular interest was the legend of the fig tree, as a prophecy that has been mostly fulfilled. This historic legend of a prophecy was developed by Jesus. And unfolds this way, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree. When its branch has become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. (Discussed and fulfilled with cited scriptures). So when you see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors. (Also discussed, and on its way to fulfillment through horrific catastrophic events that are showing their severity and will intensify. Causing Jesus, to intervene to end it). Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” Texts:Matthew 24:32-34.

This discussion will focus that last clause stated by Jesus. By determining, who are the people of that last generation. So very significant because it answers the questions the disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3. Which as previously stated, boiled down to this question. When will the world, as we know it end?

Jesus assured the world for all eternity that the generation that saw the blossoming of Israel between, 01 January 1948 and 14 May 1948, represents that generation of Jews in Matthew 24:34.

Creating a time line from 1948 to 2014 represents sixty six years of a generation of people still alive today. Which suggests that Jesus’ warnings about deception both within the secular world and religious community will get out of hand. We hear about wars that will not end. And others, that are flexing their war instincts and will fire up causing more global instability. It must be, said Jesus, but the end is not yet.

Those wars seem to be regional wars which are causing global mayhem. Jesus continued his tirade by warning against wars by groups of nations moving against other well established governments. Like the destruction of the United States which was also discussed in this long series of postings. With Islam becoming the worlds new master. Few think that will occur but it will with their seat of power eventually centering in Turkey. Seems unimaginable, but what was said about Israel becoming a nation state.

Food shortages, old and new endemic diseases will plague the community of nations. Weird weather patterns will inflict their own sorrow. And Jesus declared, “all these are the beginning of sorrows.” Texts Matthew 24:4-8.

Seems reasonable to conclude that all that and more can’t happen within the life span of all people alive today, who saw Israel become a nation state in 1948. Because it doesn’t seem possible that they have enough years to live to see all that happen. Agreed? Oops not so fast.
So we must ask, what is a biblical generation? Because generations keep extending themselves, as people live longer. Once a generation was as few as forty years. Then reaching seventy, and beyond, with some saying that soon, we’ll calculate a generation as being one hundred years. And if back track to biblical times a generation could be hundred of years. Genesis 5:5, records that Adam lived to be nine hundred and thirty years. And Genesis 5:8, says, So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years; and he died.” So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty nine years and he died.

Babbling over what constitutes a generation is the wrong approach. Looking closely at what Jesus said, we discover that Jesus declared that the generation that was in existence (01 May 1948, or that witnessed the the budding of fig tree of Israel, 14 May 1948, would not pass, or die out before all the prophesied events would happen.

So it seems that a biblical generation must be understood from this context. Or from God himself, who indicated from the lives of Noah, Seth and Methuselah that a generation could be nine hundred plus years. Most would argue that living up to nine hundred years today is impossible. That’s what some of those people said when various confidant’s of God declared that Israel would return to the lands of their fathers, as a nation state. And behold to the surprise of most, it occurred. And if need be, the words of Jesus, “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place,” Matthew 24:34. Will come through a Noah, Seth or Methuselah. Which means they, or he, or she, is live among us. Because the legend of the fig tree, had its blossoming in 1948.

1948 what it means today

After a nights sleep, Jesus hit the road. Hunger set in, and Jesus saw a fig tree down the road. Some figs to eat seemed appetizing, but when he got there he found only leaves and no figs, for it was not the season for figs. Some what agitated Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” Texts:Mark 11:12-14. Israel canceled out, as his intended provider of the good news of his saving grace.

After experiencing some hostilities from the community, Jesus and his disciples passed by that fig tree again. The disciples saw that the fig tree had dried up from the roots. Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree. So Peter said, Rabbi look! “The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.” Texts:Mark 11:20-21.

The admonishment Jesus inflicted upon the tree that caused the tree to die is prophetically symbolic of Israel’s stubbornness to obey their God. Which eventually caused God to chase them from the lands, that he had given to them. Scattering the Jews to the four corners of the earth. Recorded in the only book of history that matters, the WORD. Saying through the penmanship of Moses, “And it shall be, that just as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from the land which you go to possess. Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there shall you shall serve other gods which neither you or your fathers have known, wood and stone. Texts. Deuteronomy 28:63-64.

As history progressed, the Jews experienced enslavement, hatred, brutality and even death from their captors. Along came Jesus making this promise. “Now learn this parable from the fig tree. When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. Also, when you see all these things (explanation in yesterday’s discussion) know that it is near, at your door! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away tell all these things take place.” Matthew 24:32-34.

Bringing to fulfillment those questions the disciples wanted Jesus to answer. Which was the bringing together two of the three questions into one, Which amounts to this, “And of the end of the age?”

When the fig trees branches become tender and puts fourth leaves you know that summer is near. It’ll be the combining of, “When will these things be and what will be a sign of you coming? Equals the end of the world, as we know it or the end of the age.

The branch became tender, when the providence of God gave the Jews a wasteland of property to be their nation state. It occurred on the day the British Mandate over Palestine expired, 14 May 1948. The Jewish People’s Council gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum and approved a proclamation declaring the establishment of the State of Israel. What happened there most of the world thought to be impossible. But divine providence isn’t intimated, influenced or controlled by world opinion. It’s the opposite as noted by the prophetic seer Daniel, who text this message from God. “This decision is by the decree of the watchers, and the sentence by the word of the holy ones, in order that the living may know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it whomever he will. And sets over it the lowest of men.” Text:Daniel 4:17. For this fulfilled prophetic historic event, Israel, “the lowest of men.” Jews a group of nobody’s, who overnight became the worlds most powerful and influential somebody’s.

The Soviet Union was the first state to fully recognize Israel as a nation state on, 17 May 1948. Followed by Poland and several other nation states. The United States followed suit on, 11 May 1949.

Divine providence is defined in Revelation 19:13, and acted accordingly.”I will bring back the captives of My people Israel. They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given,” says the LORD your God. Texts:Amos 9:14-15.

Mothers Elizabeth and Mary

Two women, two mother’s, who changed the destiny of the world. With Elizabeth giving birth to a son. And it was decided that the boy would be named after his father, Zacharias, Luke 1:59. But Elizabeth objected, and said, we shall call his name, John. And his father agreed, and so it was, Luke 1:60-63.

Zacharias benediction is a worthy read and study, Luke 1:67-79.

“And the child grew up and became strong in spirit,” Luke 1:80a. “And was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel,” Luke 1:80b. Every mother’s wish!! The successful manifestation from the fruit of their womb, whatever gender it might be. Because much can be learned about parenting. If mother’s would instill those concepts in their children, the family and the world would be better. Then indeed, blessed is the fruit of your womb and blessed are you among women. Because women set the destiny, for the family, and the world. Enjoy your day, it is indeed your day.

This grown child, John, is the one we call the Baptist. Who came and went before Jesus, and was found in the wilderness. ‘Preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,’ Luke 3:3. The ‘Word of God’ came to John, Luke 3:2. Transubstantiation, one substance being two but only in appearance. People need to know it and experience it! The Hymn, ‘Power in the Blood!’ God teaches his truths many ways. But no greater way, than through willing mothers!

And when the ‘Word of God’ came to John, he found what was written in the ‘Word of God. Expressed by God through Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord; make his paths straight. And make the rough ways smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God,” Luke 2:4-6. And that represents the ‘manifestation’ of the son born of Elizabeth. Which is the duty of all God’s children, not just, John the Baptist.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be called the mother of God? Well that was to be Mary’s manifestation. God dispatched his angel, Gabriel, to Nazareth, Luke 1:26. And the angel said to Mary, “Rejoice highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Luke 1:28. And now, what we call, ‘The Annunciation,’ “Then the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the LORD GOD will give him the throne of his father David. And he shall  reign over the house of Jacob forever, and his kingdom shall have no end,'” Luke 1:30-33. Still waiting, we are, but the end shall come, 1 Corinthians 15:24. Perhaps verses 33-34 represent the long wait. As God waits for mothers to awaken the cause of Christ through their sons and daughters.

Later Mary made a trip to visit her relative Elizabeth. When Elizabeth greeted Mary there was instant, and mutual recognition, where each woman knew that the other would be a women of great importance. That encounter can be experienced at Luke 1:46-45. All mother’s are women of great importance.

And Elizabeth said, to Mary, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb,” Luke 1:42. And Mary responded with a prayer that the church has tagged as the magnificat prayer, meaning my soul magnifies. Which Mary prayed, “And Mary said: My spirit rejoiced in God my Savior. For he has regarded the lowly state of his maidservant; behold! Henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. And His mercy is on those who fear Him, from generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones and exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things. And the rich, He has sent away empty. He has helped His servant Israel. In remembrance of his mercy, as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his seed forever,” Luke 1:46-55. Teachings from yesterday and still applicable two centuries later.

And so in closing blessed are the mothers, who magnify the Lord and whose spirit is in God their Savior. And instill that truth in their children, for indeed, all generations shall call you blessed. Because He has, or will do great things through you. And He will be mercy full to you and your family for generations to come. Just a few comments from Mary’s magnificat prayer.

On this mothers day, blessed are the mothers because like Elizabeth and Mary, you establish the destinations of families and world communities.

As always, where there is glory there is shame. The shame of some mothers is recorded starting with Luke 1:51b-53. With Mary telling us that He has scattered the proud, who imagine that the fruit of their womb can prosper without the helpful arm of the Savior. And He has put down the mighty from their thrones, whether it’s among families or nations.

So the question this Mothers Day is where are the Mother’s of America taking the nation. Because according to God, Blessed are Women among His creation. And, as women go, so goes the nation. Great responsibility with even greater blessings.

Behind every great man was, and is, and will be a greater woman.
