art of fakery

Trump seems to have ingrained the expression fake news into the consciousness of world leaders. Everything coming from their mouths is fake this and that. Which has caused this Padre to think about that expression and it’s not new.

Jesus used it during His presence upon this earth. The difference is that He expressed what is fake as deception. Fake seems to have a superior resonance or ring to it. For instance He warned people to be aware of world events. Because failure to do so, would lead one into what is fake and that is the same as being deceived. (cp. Matthew 24:4).

With religion, it’s expressed, as all paths lead to spiritual enlightenment. And if, one excepts that notion then Christendom as being the only path to God amounts to fakery. And that is the prevailing notion today in America. Which leads to a broad acceptance of beliefs, and behaviors Jesus condemns.

Which caused Christ, to warn us against such trends which are becoming the hallmark of our modern American society. When Jesus said, “Many will come in My name saying, ‘I am the Christ and many will be deceived,'” (cp. Matthew 24:5). Which is, the ultimate art of fakery. Leading America deeper into the corridors where every person becomes their own god. Over time America will become ethically bankrupt where truth and decency is nonexistent. Because all paths do not lead to God.

Clergy people get sick, die, vacation, retire or move on. This Padre duly ordained is available to fill that vacancy temporarily. Teach a Sunday school class. Share in an adult Bible study group. You select the topic from the traditional to the allies seldom explored.

With a degree also in political science a whole repertoire of topics are available from the galaxy of the usual to the corridors where certain issues aren’t discussed.

Living room conversations work well, as do other forums where people can gather.

CfS is a church without walls, and therefore, without membership.
