what’s at stake

The holiday season presses on, however, our duties were established on that very first Christmas. Here’s a summary of them that represent some everyday aspects for observing Christmas in a reverenced way.

A disappearing attribute through out our blessed United States. Highlighted by, donald j trump, and passed onto his lapdogs the Republican congressional cronies.

Teaching us how Divine Providence and His agents like Gabriel intersect with humanity. Centuries later this was recorded for us concerning angels, “For He shall give His angels charge over you. To keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands. Lest you dash your feet against a stone.” See Psalms 91:11-12; and, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation.” See Hebrews 1:14.

Such angelic occurrences can happen without our awareness. Like something unfortunate that should have happened but didn’t. Sometimes people just walk away shaking their heads in wonderment. Not me!

Christmas represents our connection to the world of the supernatural. Today mainly from our scriptures because our scriptures are supernatural in themselves.

Those scriptures are like no other words ever written. Because, they represent the living breathing God within us. With God continuously revealing the dependability of those written words.

As, biblical events previously announced occur. Recorded this way, “Remember the former things of old. For I am God. And there is no other, I am God, and there is none like me! Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things not yet come.” Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasures.'” Texts: Isaiah 46:9-10.

Examples besides the birth of Jesus. The statehood of Israel in 1948. With Judea and Samaria now belong to Israel. With Jerusalem now recognized, as Israel’s capital city.

Somethings yet to come. Jesus returns and rules from Jerusalem. The very throne of His father, King David. Texts: Matthew 1:11; Matthew 19:28-29. I will be there, will you?

What is it God wanted Mary to know? This, “For with God nothing is impossible!” Texts: Luke 1:34-38. It’s the miracle of Christmas for us also.

Christmas is all about spirituality, duty, reverence and responsibility. Emulated through Mary and Joseph. Picturesque of ordinary people, who become enablers of the seemingly impossible.
