Buckle up and review a little bit of history. It has to do with presidential overreach and congressional under reach. Both of which jeopardize American democracy. And with the current white house occupant being capable of making the Obama administration look Christ like in nature.
Of all the problems facing the world community, why does the Middle East get so much attention? Especially the Israeli/Palestinian conflict concerning statehood for the Palestinians. With Jerusalem being the major focal point of disagreement between the parties.
There is only one answer and it’s a simple answer, religion. Because all the land in dispute are lands to which Israel traces its genealogy, as does Christendom. What makes the lands important to Israel and Christendom is that the lands were promised to the Jews. Noted as follows, “And I will establish my covenant between Me and you. And your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant. To be a God to you, and to your descendants after you. Also I will give to you, and to your descendants after you, the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God,” Genesis 17:7-8.
The Israeli/Christendom connection came about as follows. Abraham didn’t have a heir to pass on the covenant God made with him. The two had a dispute about that because Abraham and his wife were very old, see Genesis 17:17. But God set the record straight, “Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him,” Genesis 17:19. It’s the genealogy of Christ back to Isaac that makes the land Canaan sacred also to Christendom.
But the Arab/Muslim world says it isn’t so! And those opposing opinions is what the Middle East conflict is all about. But not just the Middle East because the global community falls on both sides of that dispute. With increasing momentum shifting against Israel. With former President Obama being among those favoring the Palestinians. But not willing to come forward and explicitly make such an endorsement because the majority of Americans were not there yet.
Politics, politics from the store house of the democrats or republicans what a foul order they spew upon the electorate.
But a whole new threat to Israel occurred, when Obama went to war against Libya based upon a United Nations resolution but without congressional consent. For Israel, that has heap-um big trouble. Because within the former President’s administration were three high ranking officials, who played significant roles in the Council’s war actions against Libya. And this trio had expressed strong anti-Israeli sentiments in the past. They were, Susan Rice, U.S. National Security Advisor. Who was a vehement critic of Israel. In her position, she constantly advocates for U.S. support for the Palestinians. And if support can’t be generated, she urges that the U.S. not exercise its veto option.
Then there was, Samantha Powers, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Who has voiced support for the Palestinians by urging the sending U.S. troops to protect them from Israel.
Not to be forgotten was Hillary Clinton, who served in President Obama’s administration during his presidency. Whose sympathies for the Palestinians dates back to her days as First Lady. No wonder, Obama wanted her to be apart of his administration. Together they built a pro Arab/Muslim coalition through out his administration. And Obama proved himself to be the most anti-Israeli/American President ever.
Had Hillary succeeded in her presidential bid, no doubt she would have pick up where Obama left off. For the glory of Israel, her presidential bid failed
So with those American players tenure’s ending, we will not see another Palestinian resolution going beyond what the United Nations did on 29 November 2012. When the world body voted to grant the Palestinians, non-member observer state status. It’ll be interesting to see if the United Nations declares statehood for the Palestinians in during President Trump’s tenure. But we, can expect the United Nations to continue to demand that Israel surrender captured lands through Israeli fruits of war.
The defeat of Hillary Clinton meant that Israel will not be warned by the U.N. that she must immediately take steps to exit all lands within the international recognized State of Palestine. Or worry about a U.S. led military strike against her. However, that doesn’t mean that sometime in the future that the, United States will not join the community of nations to attack Israel. Because of this prophetic announcement, “For I will gather all nations to battle against Jerusalem; the city shall be taken, the houses rifled, and the woman ravished,” Zechariah 14:2.
Hard to believe that American bombs would ever fall upon our long standing ally, Israel. But the wrong presidential administration in power, could make it possible sometime in the future. The electorate must act, and force congress to make U.S presidents obey their war making powers of constitutional authorization before engaging the nation in a war. See U.S. Constitution Article 1 Section 8.
