“I returned, and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happened to them all,” Ecclesiastes 9:11.
It does seem that time and chance plays a significant role in many events, but not in all incidences. Here is an occasion, when time plays no role whatsoever. “Therefore, if any person be in Christ, they become new creations; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new,” 2 Corinthians 5:17.
And here is why time and chance do not play a role in all circumstances. “So shall my word be that goes out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it,” Isaiah 55:11.
This then is how the unexplainable is explained. Jesus used this example, “The wind blows were it wills. And you hear the sound of it, but can not tell where it came, and where it goes; so is every person that is born of the Spirit,” John 3:8. Meaning that the unexplainable is sometimes explained, only from personal experience.
