Experiences don’t get any more bizarre than what happen to Saul and his associates during yesterdays discussion. But it will, as events continue to unfold.
Saul blinded, and his associates spooked out after seeing their boss mysteriously tossed to the ground. Seeing no one in the vicinity that could have done that to Saul. All they heard was verbal communications between Saul and a voice that they couldn’t identify.
Saul had been told to go to the city and once there he’d be told what to do. Blinded, Saul had to be escorted to Damascus. As they journeyed, his associates most likely were thinking to themselves that once they got to city there would be consequences. After all, their boss was use to being the one who did the punishing. Finally they reached Damascus and secured lodging. Now everyone was becoming concerned, after all they had been there three days and the boss was still blind. And hadn’t drank anything or eaten food in three days.
Members of the Way were busing adding numbers to their movement. One of them was a man named Ananias. Divine providence has no limitations. So He came to Ananias though some kind of a vision. Ananias responded, “Here I am Lord.” He received these instructions. “Arise and go to the street called Straight. Inquire at the house of Judas, and ask for Saul of Tarsus.”
Ananias didn’t mix any words because he knew what he was dealing with when it came to Saul of Tarsus. That’s one of the problems the Way has today. The Way is busy advising Jesus instead of executing His advice. Peter coined this phrase for them, saying, “They are untaught and unstable people of the Way. They are people who twist to their own destruction the scriptures. See 2 Peter 3:16. It just happens to be that Peter was referring to the opposition Paul was encountering, who previously was the fierce prosecutor known as Saul of Tarsus.
Paul as part of his own experience was aware the others had had the same experience. So he wrote the following. But Isaiah was very bold and says, “I was found of them who did not seek me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask of Me.” See Romans 10:20.
People who have had such experiences make the best truth seekers and doers. Because they are outside of Christendoms snare. And are not tarnished by their nonsensical tirades.
The Way is in need of people who are fed up with churches as they are today. And stay as far away from them as they can, as does this padre.
How you got here is known only to you. After all what we are studying right now is the uniqueness of Divine Providence, as lives are impacted and changed. The Way has no membership, collects no money. If you are compelled by Divine Providence, study the writings of Paul, Acts through Hebrews. Got questions get in touch. Always willing to offer a helping hand. Then get it together your way and change the world around you.
