the patmos experience

This isn’t a suspenseful journey on the orient express, as some novelist have suggested. But rather, a some times infamous journey into a time yet to come reported by an author named John. Who was one of twelve, who traveled with Jesus. After the murder of Jesus, he got himself into trouble with the governing authorities, and for that its rumored that he got himself exiled to an island called Patmos.

As a prelude to some startling declarations concerning events to impact this place we mortals call earth. In the last of four other documents he authored. He sums up his experience with Jesus while He was alive and after His death. Saying it was stressful and required considerable patience’s to persevere in what he called, “For the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. John was setting the stage for how people should behave today under such circumstances.

John makes it clear that Jesus was murdered on our behave. And because that occurred, redemption is ours by his split blood. Therefore some say Christianity is a slaughter house religion. It’s their way of mocking those who live for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. We all know that there can be no life without blood. Suggestive that the converse must occur for their to be life after death for those redeemed by Jesus.

From the heavens this is a continuous reoccurring happening unbeknown to most of us. Were four living creatures or animals. Are standing among the twenty four elders. But in their midst in kaleidoscopic fashion was a slain Lamb. Having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. See Revelation 5:6.

Which suggests that the Christ purpose for earthlings is a saga in progress. With seven being the number of perfection seen picturesquely as horns and eyes. Denoting strength where nothing on earth goes unnoticed. So from the throne room of heaven a promise made centuries ago finds residency among us as the Helper. Jesus put it this way, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you, but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” See John 16:7.

And, He is continuously called upon till this very moment. Because this continuous event is shared, Note, “And when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” See Revelation 5:8.
