Both Trump and Clinton insist that they have strategies to defeat terrorism. It is foolish talk asserted by the both of them because they don’t understand biblical prophecy. If they did, both Trump and Clinton would be issuing dire warnings of a threat endangering the community of nations. Especially the United States because the crowned jewel of nations has marginalized Jesus. Warning that the United States will pay a deadly penalty for such apostasy.
The Old Testament prophet, Hosea saw a different scenario that will follow America. That prophecy is where this series of discussions will end. But to set the stage, some biblical and secular history.
The American revolution that occurred during the latter part of the eighteenth century was indeed extraordinary. It still stands out as the most unique revolution in the history of the world. Why? Because biblically, it was suppose to happen. As God’s purposeful intention to use America to declare His plan of personal redemption to the world at large. Two separate discussions will be used to elaborate on His plan of redemption.
Consider these intriguing circumstances. The American revolution was led by people, who were very wealthy. Historians generally agree, that their net worth was greater than those that they were rebelling against. Usually a revolution occurs because the poor rebel against the elitist. Who are wealthy, greedy and monopolize every aspect of society. They rebel because they are suffering enormous economic injustices. With housing, education, employment and social conditions, as a whole just being awful. None of those circumstances or conditions applied to the rebels of the American revolution. They came to America seeking freedom from religious persecution.
Historians who have studied, and analyzed the economic, and social conditions leading up to that particular revolution. Generally agree that it was a revolution that should not have happened. (Keep that in mind because it is important, as the chronicling of the rise and fall of the West is substantiated).
Like all nations England has had its share of turmoil. From the Magna Carta of 1225, ordinary people managed to persuade King John to broaden their rights under the law. These new rights later became the foundation for England and the United States legal systems. Often referred to as the Angelo-American jurisprudence. England and America gave the English speaking people the worlds premiere political and legal system. This note worthy because it also is connected with the above parenthesis.
From those events in England the first parliament emerged. Later to reduce the monarchy to ceremonial influences. This led to the execution of a king and the removal from the thrown of another. In the seventeenth century, the monarchy was set aside in favor of a republic form of government. That republic form of government like its predecessor the Roman republic led to a dictatorship.
The English people eventually restored the monarchy to power. Seeing the monarchy as a balance of power between the thrown and parliament. They saw the thrown serving as the executive authority. With the parliament representing the elite of England. Leaving the courts, as the peoples arbiters for balance between the people, king and parliament. The goal of this arrangement was to protect and secure every persons life and property.
All that was really quite phenomenal because it was of prophetic design. We learned from an earlier discussion that God changed Jacobs name to Israel, Genesis 32:28. Later he blessed his son Joesph, Genesis 48:15. He then proceeds to discuss his own redemption. Preparing to bless his grandsons Ephraim and Manasseh in a cross handed manner, Genesis 48:13-14. He does this in the name God gave him which was Israel. Saying let my name be named upon them. Meaning that Ephraim and Manasseh were endowed with the the birth rights of Israel, note Genesis 32:28. With this blessing, he recalls the names of Abraham and Isaac. Providing this benediction, “Let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth,” Genesis 48:16.
Greater clarification of verse sixteen is to follow. Perhaps Joseph thought his father was confused. Because he objected to Jacob offering his blessings upon his younger son, Ephraim, verse 18. He sought the first blessing for his eldest son Manasseh. But Jacob corrected him saying, “He also shall become a people, and he shall also become great, but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations,” verse 19.
History provides us with ample evidence that Jacob was prophesying the future of the British Empire and that of the United States.
The American revolution was so extraordinary because the ties between the colonists in America and England had been broken. So that the prophesy concerning Ephraim and Manasseh could be fulfilled. Concerning Ephraim, to this day Queen Elizabeth 11, is recognized as the Head of the Commonwealth. Which is a voluntary organization of fifty three different countries, With many of them having been British colonies. Most recognize the phrase, “The sun never sets upon the British empire.” That was so because the British empire ruled 1/4 of the worlds population. Covering 14.2 million square miles. Serving as the worlds foremost global power for a very long time. So indeed, Ephraim had constituted a “Multitude of nations.”
The Bible does not explicitly name Ephraim as the lineage for the creation for the British empire. Any more than it does for Manasseh as the lineage for America. As I have suggested on numerous occasions, is that to understand biblical prophecy. It’s necessary to take scriptures and match them with world events. Once you do that with the above scriptures you get this picture. It is the development of a beautiful portrait of unfolding prophecy matched with world history. A portrait of a history that has not been remotely matched by any other nations or empires.
Today the British crown is purely ceremonial in function and power. Its parliamentary form of government is mostly all bark with no bite as a global power. Its very existence, as a democracy is under assault by their Muslim community.
The American journey is soon to follow. Taking us to that journey from the prophecy in Hosea. Hopefully within the next couple of discussions.
