Some historical events are so chiseled into our memories, never to be forgotten. Etched into ones memory to such a degree. That on any particular occasion, its easy to remember, where we were, and even what we were doing.
For this discussion, it is about the Israeli/Arab Muslim, six day war, which occurred 49 years ago. With clear recollection the history of that day is forever mine. This writer had just finished his morning run. A favorite conditioning program, and was in the process of doing some sit ups.
When the news of the Israeli preemptive strike upon Egypt, came over the radio. In the end, Israel had completely disseminated the armies of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria.
The war did not come as a surprise. For some time these Arab Muslim armies where marshaling troops on the borders, surrounding Israel. Seemingly, creating an impassible route for escape. Only death, destruction, and possible annihilation, seemed to be the destiny and doom of Israel.
Israel knew it was greatly out numbered by these Arab Muslim armies. Knowing that they could possibly realize their centuries old ambition. Which was to annihilate, this small Jewish state. The world community stood by seemingly helpless to intervene to save Israel which included the United States.
But Israel shocked the world, with a stunning, and spectacular defeat. Of their ancient, and modern day enemies the Arab/Muslim world. Consider these staggering graphics which in themselves would make an Israeli victory seem insurmountable. Israel occupies less than 8,000 square miles. While the Arab/Muslim acreages are estimated to be 650 times the size of Israel. Even the state of California has a land mass 20 times the size of Israel. Here we have this tiny Israeli state, shocking the world then. And constantly finding itself prominently heralded in the news today. As if it were a global super power, which it is, because the festivities of the supernatural will make sure that it stays that way.
With the odds for such a victory so over whelming it would seem that only the festivities of the supernatural could save Israel. Maybe that is exactly what occurred. Perhaps a short tour of Biblical prophetic history might be of some help. God said this concerning the Jews. Its recorded in Deuteronomy 26:18, that the Jews would be his people. Because of that relationship, it is recorded. That whenever enemies rise up against Israel. They shall be defeated and forced to flee, Deuteronomy 28:7. Which of course, is what happened during the Israel Arab Muslim war of 1967.
This is how these repeated military assaults occur against Israel. It does not matter if we are discussing the past, present, or future. The goal is the same; annihilate the Jews. Biblical history demonstrates, a constant effort to exterminate any memory of the Jews as a people. Biblical prophecy declares that it will never occur. Although the Jews suffer long persecutions, as they are experiencing today. It will pass with Israel being victorious. Then sometime in the future the scenario replays itself.
Repeatedly, in one form or another Israeli conspirators have laid careful plots to accomplish the impossible. It works like this, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance, Psalms 83:4. This is how it always ends, “O my God, make them like a wheel, like stubble before the wind. As a fire burns a forest, and as the flame sets the mountains on fire. Persecute them with your temper, and make them afraid with your storm,” Psalms 83:13-15.
That was the Arab/Muslim goal, and experience of their war conspiracy of 1967. Israel was transformed immediately into a super power. Causing the Arab Muslim nations, who conspired against Israel. To fear the Israeli storm helped by Elohim, Hebrew for God, meaning God as creator, preserver and judge of the universe. The Deity responsible for all the festivities of the supernatural.
But always, the smell of annihilation of the Jews is in the air in recent years. Two factors seem to be giving this annihilation of Israel fuel. The Israeli/ Hezbollah war, from which the Arab/Muslim nations sensed a weakened Israel.
Then the growing demand from the world community that Israel surrender the *sweet fruits* of their 1967 victory for peace. After decades of propaganda, world public opinion is swelling against Israel. All suggesting. that if Israel fails to surrender land for peace. Their *sweet fruits* of victory in 1967 will turn ‘sour.’
Palestine, all of Palestine belongs to Israel! The Jews were there in 1312 B.C.E. (before common era) and at least 2000 years before the rise of Islam. Therefore, if there are occupiers in Palestine, it is the Arab/Muslim inhabitants.
