Picking up from the last sentence of the first paragraph from yesterdays discussion. “No matter which way it plays out, what’s happening in our world is suggestive that our future is not very bright.” Centered around what Jesus said in Matthew 24:21. And then, at the end verse 22 was used.
So it’s time to move and consider the dimness clouding our future. Just a couple of examples should set the stage for some real concerns. Consider what’s going on in Syria, as Bashar al-Assad continues his long slaughter of Syrians. With NATO suggesting a Libyan style intervention to stop the slaughter. Do that said, Assad and I’ll fire missiles into Israel. Counter punch Israel, do that and Damascus will become dust. Bingo! Prophecy fulfilled, “The burden of Damascus. Behold Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap,” Isaiah 17:1.
To compound matters, Assad said, that he’d get help from Lebanon, and that Iran would attack American warships in the area. More details found with, 15 September 2014, discussion, “Assad God’s man of the hour.”
“The fortress also will cease from Ephraim, the United States which is made up of people from the UK, who no doubt, were unaware that they were joining Manasseh to bring into existence America, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria; they shall be like the glory of the children of Israel, says the LORD of Hosts,” emphasis through out this padre, Isaiah 17:3. Note:Nations have a lineage just like people do. Ephraim is the younger brother of Manasseh and their prophetic declaration as nations comes from Genesis 48:15-20; Romans 4:18.
With God given birth rights comes great responsibilities. First as individuals, who in this instance were destined to be a people of lawfulness through forgiveness by Jesus Christ. Then destined to create a nation whose decedents would continue that birth right, Romans 4:7-8. The problem with America is that birth right with its responsibilities is no longer considered an individual or national inheritance. The consequences are evident for those of us who have spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear. It’s a mystery contained in Ezekiel 12:2; God’s prophet to the house of Israel. One such house is the United States. And those mysteries were emphasized and expanded upon by Jesus in Matthew 13:11-15. The old America new the following contained in Matthew 13:16-17;23. Verses 17-22 contains the slippery slope that destroyed America.
If you have been following the news, then you know that the United States talked the talk but failed to walk the talk. Which seriously wounded America as a power of influence anywhere in the world. Here is an added simple formula to the last paragraph. It’s why the United States stumbled in Syria with Russia and will fail miserably with ISSI. The global prophet Daniel laid it out in his declaration found in his manuscript cited as Daniel 2:21a; the United States has been blinded from grasping the significance of Daniel 2: 21b-22. The past history of the United States is contained in verse 23.
Leaving Syria in a continuing mess which allowed for the birth of a new world devil tagged ISIS. A formidable enemy only in its infancy. Attracting recruits to fight their war from the United States and elsewhere globally. A foe the United States or the world community doesn’t have the slightest clue as to how to fight. You’ll continue to hear lots of talk, but with some failed walking of the talk. With nations clambering to explain how they were blind sided by an evil worse than Nazism. The same old rhetoric surfaces arguing that ISIS doesn’t represent real Islam. So fearful of ISSI is the world that Muslim states have joined the pitiful rhetoric. Here is the truth ISSI represents real Islam. The Muslim voices who say otherwise represent the apostasy of Islam. Which is support by their war manual the Qur’an. Slowly they’ll come around to the ISSI way because Muslims were born with ISSI in their blood. Take a good look Genesis 16:12, where Islam is seen as a people of war. Given permission by God to flex their muscles, Genesis 17:20. In Proverbs 17:11-13, we see their anger, hate and fury for being denied the birthrights of Isaac. It’s what world turmoil is all about and it’s found in Galatians 4:22-31. Cautionary urging to do more than read the aforementioned scriptures, study and pray over them.
There is hope because God is merciful when it involves individual and national repentance. That hope is based upon American and Israeli repentance. It’s undetermined as to the level of involvement the United States will play in its response to ISSI. But for some reason, it’ll stop, maybe because of Israels victory. Because it’s proclaimed, ‘the remnant shall be like the glory of the children of Israel.’ With perhaps the remnant being those people who survived. Whatever weapons Israel used to turn Damascus to dust along with her surrounding cities from the aforementioned scripture of Isaiah 17:1. ISSI had its birth in Syria and could well be pushed back into Syria by the United States and destroyed by Israel.
“And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall become lean,” verse 4. The glory of Jacob, is the United States, note Genesis 17:4, partially fulfilled through Genesis 48:16,19-20. With her greatness expressed through Genesis 49:22-24.
It’s well known that Iran’s military prowess is far greater than Israel or the United States ever suspected. As Iran successfully captured in flight a U.S. spy drone, and brought it down undamaged by staging a landing in Iran. And now is in possession of sensitive American intelligence. Who knows what other military capabilities Iran has with Assad declaring Iran will attack U.S. war ships in the region. And with the intelligence gleamed from that drown, will it contribute to the making of Jacob thin and the fatness of his flesh thin? No doubt a continuing dimensional worry for the United States government.
Isaiah 17:4-6, discusses the weak economy of Judah which could encompass Israel and Great Britain. But it seems primarily directed, for now, at the United States. With harvest man working hard with his arms but without much success. Made picturesque with the gathering of corn in the valley of Rephaim. Because Rephaim people were war enemies of God’s people. With no better success with picking of fruits with a berry here and and a berry there, says the LORD God of Israel.
But standing off there is an unidentified man, “At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel. And he shall not look to the alters, the works of his hands; neither shall he respect that which his fingers have made, neither the idols, or the images, Isaiah 17:7-8.
In that day his strong cities shall be like a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because the children of Israel; and there shall be desolation. (Children of Israel is applicable to Israel and the house of Israel meaning those nations born from Genesis 17:4, Genesis 48:16,19-20). Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength (Genesis 49:24), therefore shalt you plant pleasant plants, and shall set it with strange slips. In that day shalt make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt make they seed to flourish; but the harvest shall be a heap of ruins. In the day of grief and desperate sorrow, Isaiah 17:9-11.
Woe to the multitude of many people, who made a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters; but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased like the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. And behold at evening, trouble; and before the morning, he is not. This is the portion of those who spoil us, and the lot of those who rob us,” Isaiah 17:7-14.
Here it is Easy Fix 2, “Surely the LORD God does nothing. Unless He reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets,” Amos 3:7, and, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,” Revelation 1:1.
What you have read is about some of the events and consequences Jesus talked about. When he said, “For then, shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor shall ever be,” Matthew 24:21. Top off with Amos and John telling us that God wants us to know some of these signs that will bring great dread upon all of humanity. And that is our fix, if you please. Because it’s as high, as one can get on God’s gift of knowing what to expect before it occurs.
Remember what was said yesterday that spared humanity from extinction? There was a man, who found grace in the eyes of God. He was a just man and perfect in his generation. And Noah, walked with God.
In the midst of war and slumping economies God inserts this statement. “At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall respect to the Holy One of Israel,” Isaiah 17:7. Suggestive perhaps that God is in search for another Noah. So that he spare humanity near extinction. Because as things stand right now, Jesus is going to have to intervene; or no one will survive, Matthew 24:22.
Which leaves us with this old maxim, if not you, whom? Maybe the whom is born of one and spreads to the many. Swallowing one Body of Believers after another. Until the church maximizes its potential, as the salt and light of the world. Then it becomes a City on a Hill, as God intended. And for awhile longer that dreadful tribulation will be postponed because God is a God of mercy, and second chances.
