Why mid-term revolt will not last

It is difficult to reduce a nations successes and failures to singular issues. But on the positive side of the issue ledger, and ranked for first place contention would have to be the separation clause of our constitution. After all, look at the harm Christianity has caused in our own country. And for a look abroad, take a good look at Islam through the eyes of Allah. Then be glad our Constitution mandates the separation of church and state. Allowing the people to worship their God without state interference. Some Christians have never been happy with that notion. With some advocating that America is a Christian nation and the state itself should function and legislate accordingly. However, most know that the nation functions as if America had Christianity as its state religion. With the nations legislative branch codifying laws around Christian doctrines.

It appears that the people who first came to America had the intent of creating a nation under a Christian God. The Mayflower Compact supports such a notion. It reads. “In the name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord, King James, by the Grace of God, of England, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith. Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and Advancement of the Christian Faith, and the Honour of our King and Country, a voyage to plant the first colony in the northern parts of Virginia; do by these presents, solemnly and mutually in the Presence of God and one of another, covenant and combine ourselves together into a civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and Preservation, and Furtherance of the Ends aforesaid; And by Virtue hereof to enact constitute, and frame such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the General good of the Colony; unto which we promise subscribe our names at Cape Cod the eleventh of November, in the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King James of England, France and Ireland the eighteenth, and Scotland the fifty-fourth. Anno Domine, 1620.” (Anno Domine, year of our Lord)

With the Mayflower Compact established a precedent for the other colonies as they establish their own governments. By the time that the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, the thirteen original colonies had some form of a Christian state sanctioned religion. As a people of these United States we are fortunate to own, Article One, of our Bill of Rights, which separates religion from the state.

To this day, we as a people are still engaged in keeping religion out of government and our lives. Free to worship God, but not to compel others to do the same must be preserved.

Islam is emerging as religious force in our country. In the mid term election the first Muslim was elected to our Congress. As Islam becomes more powerful religiously and politically, Americans will have to fight to destroy any Muslim religious or political influence over our customs and way of life. Which they most likely despise upon examination of their customs and way of life. Let us keep them in their Mosques or dens of darkness with their dark ages of customs and ways. And because they live in the dark ages of violence. Willing to die in order to kill others for the glory of their Allah, and the prophet Muhammad. They must be seen for what they are enemies of religious and political freedom. Would any American after looking at a Islamic controlled country want that religious or political system imposed upon this nation? Muslims in America, have no choice, but to work toward that end in the United States. The imposition of Islamic law as the Muslim religious doctrine.

On the negative side of the issue ledger, and without contenders, and ranked number one would have be the peoples repeated failures to control their government. Causing minor revolts like the recent mid term elections. Usually power shifts in the Congress due not result in substantive changes that benefit the nations ordinary working people. People who work hard and live from pay check to pay check. So this writer does not expect much change will occur with the Democrats taking over the Congress.

This writer fully expects the Republicans to retake the Congress in 2008 and retain control of the White House. The Democrats try to play the middle against the political right and left which spells failure. There presidential candidates due not seem to understand world politics. While the Republicans put forth an agenda, advancing their political platform. Not taking into consideration what the middle, left, or right thinks. Which is why they will capture the Congress in 2008. Republican presidential candidates seem to have a better understanding of global politicians which is why they will keep the White House in 2008.

So we as Americans are going to have two new battles to fight. First we must make sure religion has less and less influence over our way of life which includes this new menace Islam. Then we must become more active in controlling our government. Elected officials are not capable of governing the peoples agenda. They govern for themselves and their power brokers. We must hold them accountable to our agenda. This agenda must be determined district by district across this country by the people.
