Sometime in the future, archaeologists digging through the rubble of what use to be the United States. Discovered a curious document. Because that document contained a novel concept, for citizen responsibility. Which read, “… Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the people to alter or abolish it …”

These space travelers traveled to our galaxy from a very distance galaxy. Centuries ago they had sent one of their operatives, Mr. Spock, to gather intelligence on a particular galaxy. With a focus on planet earth because it was felt that planet earth might in the future become a threat to their own galaxy of planets. They were a species known for their sense of logic. With Mr. Spock reporting that the inhabitants of planet earth were very intelligent but were as illogical, as they were intelligent. And that posed no real threat to  any galaxy beyond their own because they would find a way to destroy themselves.

Eventually Mr. Spock was ordered to terminate his intelligence work. File his final report, and return home  to his base planet Vulcan. Spock did so, but left an appendix of his report hidden in the Library of Congress. His report to The Federations of Nations that he represented and the appendix is what follows.

Mr Spock characterized earth, and in particular the United States, as a place where reasoning, and logic was based upon the superstition of religion. Noting that in there final days, three god’s were waring against each other. With a very small state of Israel being the focal point of global hostilities. Led by their god ‘Elohim, the father of all god’s.’ Who created the Father of Christianity, who had a son named Jesus. Only to be followed by an outcast named Ishmael, who founded yet another religion, Islam. Because he had been badly treated by by the God of Judaism and Christianity. This Islamic religion was inspired by yet another god, Allah and his prophet Muhammad.

Which eventually led to this galaxy, with earth as one of its stars being hammered through nuclear bombardments. Spock concluded that such a horrific event could only occur  because Americans failed to make the government accountable, as set forth in their Declaration of Independence. All because they couldn’t get past the superstitions of ‘religion.’ A very great evil, according to Spock’s final report.

Spock wondered, why would a civilization of people, allow such a catastrophic event to occur? Reading further he stumbled upon these words, “… and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed …” Spock gave great thought to the notion of ’sufferable evils.’ Concluding that several combination’s existed like ambitions for world dominance. Based upon geopolitical greed centered around exploitations of regional resources with oil being primary. Finally, Spock concluded that without doubt the greatest folly of ’sufferable evils’ was ‘religion.’

Spock had identified these earthlings, as a people, who had succumbed to a popular German philosopher ideology, who wrote that religion is the opium of the people. With opium being a substance that dates back to at least ancient Greece. It’s obtained from the juice of the opium poppy. And, it has a soothing numbing effect where little matters, except for the ecstasy it creates.

No doubt this distance star earth, populated by a life form referred to as human had drugged itself with the opium effect of religion. The people of earth had spent centuries slaughters each other. Then chasing the defeated to far away places. Every time the defeated regrouped through prayer and devotion. Their god showed them how to build more powerful weapons. Along with never before seen new war strategies. New powers emerged like Iran and North Korea, who also had the ultimate weapon. With the world stage now set for a nuclear holocaust.

Spock concluded, that there was still time to avoid the unthinkable. Each nation must do what is necessary to save the planet. Americans must shed the hallucinogenic effect of religion. Hold the President and the Congress accountable to the tenets of the Constitution. This American government must understand that it gets authority to govern from the people. In order for this to occur, they the people must prove the 56 signatories to the Declaration of Independence wrong. As a people, they must no longer be willing to suffer American evils upon themselves or the world community. These evils must no longer be allowed to be looked upon as ’sufferable.’ It is an elitist notion, concluded Spock, by the rich, and powerful used to persuade the public to see things their way. Using a combination geopolitics and religion to advance their agenda.

But as Spock was about to wrap things up, and return home. This logical extraterrestrial humanoid suddenly found himself glaring into a light which knocked him to the ground. And he heard a voice which said to him, Spock! Spock! Mr Spock, why do you persecute me in your report? A stunned Spock, asked, who are you? And a voice answered, and said, I am Jesus whom you have written about. Spock trembling, and astonished asked, Jesus what would you have me do? Jesus replied, get up, and I’ll transport you to the Roman penal colony of Patmos, an island in the Aegean Sea. There you’ll meet my faithful servant, John, who will set the record straight.

Thinking that I must have lost his mind because he couldn’t accept the notion of time travel back to the first century. When suddenly, an elderly 92 year old greeted him, and said, I’m the Apostle John. Come, I’ll show you why America failed in its destiny. Understand that the document you referred to the, “Declaration of Independence,” was a divinely inspired document making sure that the off spring of Manasseh, the son of Joseph whose grandfather was Jacob. A destined people to bring the truths of Jesus to a world in turmoil. Would have the authority to replace any government, who failed to realize their God destiny as a light to the world. Mr. Spock asked, John who were these keeper of the light? John replied, the holy church of Jesus Christ. John then retrieved some ancient parchments. And scrolled done, to he came to seven descriptions of the churches through the ages.

Pointing out the indictment of God Almighty against his church. The indictment read, “You have failed to hear what the Spirit was saying unto the churches.” John instructed Mr. Spock, to read and digest 22 chapters of huge parchment that outlined God’s indictment not only against the church but the entire world community. John concluded by saying pay particular attention to a shape shifting angle with legions of followers, who warred against Christ and his bride. Destroying the destiny of America. But despite the smoking remains of a seemingly dead planet. Note that this Christ said, “… you are Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”

Spock finally realized that he had finalized his conclusions incorrectly, but realized that The Federation of Nations would consider any corrections as lunacy. So he submitted his report as written. But tucked away his appendix in the Library of Congress, knowing that the age had not ended. Knowing that these Christ followers would start over. And he wanted them to have the benefit of his conversion with John. And maybe this time, they emerge to fulfill their destiny. Because, there was something intriguing about this seemingly heartless Christ. Who repeatedly said, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous, therefore, and repent.” And there rests the hope for America and the community of nations, thought, Mr. Spock. A repented and revitalized church!
