Dangerous Illicit

March 1st, 2010

Dangerously illicit indeed, dating back to the nations first president, George Washington. Who said, “Our cause is noble; it’s the cause of humanity.” A sentiment echoed by every politic since in one way or another. And look, where it has taken the nation. Down the byways to national bankruptcy and moral decadence.

There is not an institution that has escaped the horrors of American decadency, not even the church. For it’s written, “And unto the church of the Laodiceans write: These these things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. I know your works, that you are neither cold or hot; I would that you were either cold or hot. Because you are lukewarm, nether cold or hot, I will spew you out of my mouth,” Revelations 3:14-16.

Either now, or later on the church will have to deal with this indictment. And remember this is not lifeless wood and concrete slabs of nothingless, called churches, but it’s of a people like you and me. “Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and know you not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind and naked,” verse 17.

Perhaps you have noticed that old American mantra of abundant richness with over the flowing of goods. Seems to be a fading American experience. With a nation of people beginning to experience the wretchedness and misery of poorness. Which seems to be creating an aura like blind and naked orientation, as people attempt figure out what’s wrong with America.

All because America has forsaken its destiny as ordained by God in 2 Samuel 7:10-14. Readers need to also examine the previous two postings, if this is not clear. There is an Israeli and American connection with the covenant God made with King David. No doubt the scriptures quoted from the book of Revelation apply to the church around the world. But the American church was designed to play a significant role in global history because of the grandson of Jacob or Israel, Manasseh. Which is also covered in those previous postings. Designed to give you greater insight into global affairs.

But the eternal voice of mercy beckons, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous, therefore and repent,” verse 19. From there, the call is to pick up the cause of Christ. With each in their own way, according to their own ability; struggling to turn back the nations moral decadency. Perhaps encouraging God to help us repair the byways of national bankruptcy, and decadency  which is destroying the nation and the world community.

It’s not just a play on words, as ‘America goes, so goes the world.’ It’s the real thing. We find these words engraved in one of our most scared symbols of Americanism. It’s found in Leviticus 25:10, “Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants.” It is the inscription that is found on the nations Liberty Bell. Liberty is found in Christ, who said, “I am the light of the world; those who follow me shall not walk in darkness, but shall be the light of life,” John 8:12. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill that can not be hidden,” Matthew 5:14. Symbolized by a great beacon of light with a range of 35 miles. Standing in the waters of a New York harbor. To guide, and welcome people traveling by ship to the shores of America; the Land of Liberty. That is what America use to be about.

But in America’s new world, all that has been set aside. Set aside with less recognition of God’s light like guidance with more self and national dependence. With a new inscription proclaimed through out the land which are the secular doctrines of political correctness and cultural inclusiveness. And there lies the nations multiple troubles which is engulfing the nation. And destroying the nations ability to be a light to itself and the world community.

So the journey to return America back to the land of our forefathers, which dates way back to Abraham. Through Jacob’s son Joseph and his son Manasseh, which is understood by those who have read that last several postings. And now it’s our turn to fight for our birthright, ordained by God. But set aside by one government after another, until we’ve reached the dismal Obama administration.

The task is daunting, but doable because we have these words, “I can do all things through Christ who strengths me,” Philippians 4:13. And the encourage words of Helen Keller, who said, “The world is not only moved by the mighty shoves of the heroes, but by the masses of pushes by honest workers.”
